Winchester White Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Up in scotchland at the moment, you have to wear a mask indoors in public places and use the hand gel. All adhered to by the vast majority. Seems sensible to me, it really is no Hardship. Quote

Honestly, its daft, the trains and tubes are now full and there is only a few people wearing masks now. I'm still wearing mine and when I'm in indoor places. As WW says, its no hardship and there is a correllation, plus it does aid in stopping the spread of other winter illnesses which helps the NHS. I don't understand why people won't pop one on in public spaces. Quote

I noticed mask wearing reducing before they officially got dropped from the older folk as the jab rollout went full tilt. Quote

I’ve actually said many times I don’t mind it and adhere to it. Even wear them In England in supermarkets etc. Quote

Spain hasn't been in lockdown for months, but has had social distancing and mask wearing inside. Just look at the figures. It obviously working. Quote
mickbrown Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Can't see the harm in masks. I still wear them in shops Quote

Lockdowns and working from home can fuck off Quote

Just look at the figures. It obviously working. It’s like comparing apples with oranges though. I’m another who has been in Scotland recently. Their cases are less than England but much higher than Spain. If every country tested the same number of people and counted the deaths the same, it would be a fairer comparison. We’ve said before, excess deaths are a better barometer. The U.K. doing much better than Spain according to these figures. https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/coronavirus-excess-deaths-tracker Quote

Not in Crawley Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 I don't think there is an issue with masks, there won't be another lockdown though unless it gets really bad. I'm good working from home, although I need other people (actors) to go to work so I can earn money. Quote
BobyBrno Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Just some more info on tests. We lead the world at detecting the virus. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1104645/covid19-testing-rate-select-countries-worldwide/ Compulsory mask wearing wouldn’t be a problem for most I suspect. Certainly wouldn’t bother me for a set period of time. You can’t expect people to do it for ever though. Quote
