A View From The Other Side

I realise some of you may have zero interest in this which is fair enough but from time to time I like to have a snoop on OppositionWays out of curiosity. Thought it was worth compiling some together which I'll do in this thread whenever I get chance.

Seems like Lincoln have some pretty level headed fans but then one or two absolutely bitter fuckers.

Pick of the bunch includes:

THE BITTER

Quote

How about 10 points deducted for every £million of debt a club has?
Wonder just how low these perennial cheats would drop?

Quote
Bolton stayed in Lincoln last night. Not leaving much to chance.

No that was so they could rack up extra debt.

Quote

Surely we can't lose to these cheats?
Why are they not on multiple minus points?

Quote

I'd rather be us than them. How long do they have to pay their debt?

Quote

The simple truth is, as much as the away fans won't want to admit it, we lost to one of those vile clubs tonight. One of those that has spent beyond their means, and clearly continues to do so.

THE PRAISE

Quote

Good game. Shit result.
By the standards of last season Bolton should be pushing for promotion. But then that was last season.

Quote

Beaten by the better team. Good to see a big away following.

Quote

FT. Good game. Credit to Bolton - they did enough to control the game throughout, although we had some bright moments, especially in the first half. They also scored at exactly the right time and managed the game out.

Quote

Bolton also look like a really good side who should be in the top half of the table.

Quote

I have backed Bolton to win the league as I think they are a decent team. They looked like a very settled team that are used to winning.

He got us out of league one, kept us in the Championship against the odds & only really failed when the ship was sinking financially. Yes he was a little direct & predictable, but I wish

If we got to the papa johns final, Pompey would have far more fans than us there.

Portsmouth has a far bigger catchment area / far less clubs around than we do.

Anyway, talking about crowd sizes is nonce behaviour, so that's me done.

That is pathetic considering a win put them top .

Welcome to my life... I have bouts of tinnitus and there's nowt that can be done, except sue some 1970s rock bands

Tbf Wigan have it pretty tough as far as catchment for fans goes.

Still tinpot cunts like.

And they've only been a league team for about 40 years

That's what I thought too. Without checking numbers, just being there it was clear we had more than them.

Unlike other Wembley occasions when we're used to be being outnumbered (except Tranmere obviously).

Anyway its rarely a level playing field, for the likes of Reading and Watford travelling to Wembley is like us going to Liverpool or Leeds, course they'll take more.

Accy fans were apparently singing 2 nil to the empty seats when they went 2 down!

So you are just a bit of a nonce ?

We defo had more on than Torquay, something like 21k to 12k. That’s if my memory ain’t playing tricks.

Was that not Tranmere?

Bet Bristol City had a few on few years before Torquay?

Bet it was fookin lively as well.

Could be dodgy memory but I have;

Bristol C 30,000 - Us 23,000

Torquay 21,000 - Us 25,000

Tranmere 11,000 - Us 20,000

We need @davidjack on the case to clarify

From memory, the crowd v Bristol City was 54505.

Could be wrong, but that would tie in with those numbers.

I'd have said he same.

They're in the final stretches of a promotion run a year after it looked like they'd go bust. That's a joke attendance. In the same position we'd double that.

Let's all laugh at Wigan.

They put the speakers on for Tranmere so that the TV could here their fans....that still makes me laugh to this day

You might be right just checked and 46 k on for Torquay so 25-21 looks right.
