A View From The Other Side

I realise some of you may have zero interest in this which is fair enough but from time to time I like to have a snoop on OppositionWays out of curiosity. Thought it was worth compiling some together which I'll do in this thread whenever I get chance.

Seems like Lincoln have some pretty level headed fans but then one or two absolutely bitter fuckers.

Pick of the bunch includes:

THE BITTER

Quote

How about 10 points deducted for every £million of debt a club has?
Wonder just how low these perennial cheats would drop?

Quote
Bolton stayed in Lincoln last night. Not leaving much to chance.

No that was so they could rack up extra debt.

Quote

Surely we can't lose to these cheats?
Why are they not on multiple minus points?

Quote

I'd rather be us than them. How long do they have to pay their debt?

Quote

The simple truth is, as much as the away fans won't want to admit it, we lost to one of those vile clubs tonight. One of those that has spent beyond their means, and clearly continues to do so.

THE PRAISE

Quote

Good game. Shit result.
By the standards of last season Bolton should be pushing for promotion. But then that was last season.

Quote

Beaten by the better team. Good to see a big away following.

Quote

FT. Good game. Credit to Bolton - they did enough to control the game throughout, although we had some bright moments, especially in the first half. They also scored at exactly the right time and managed the game out.

Quote

Bolton also look like a really good side who should be in the top half of the table.

Quote

I have backed Bolton to win the league as I think they are a decent team. They looked like a very settled team that are used to winning.

He got us out of league one, kept us in the Championship against the odds & only really failed when the ship was sinking financially. Yes he was a little direct & predictable, but I wish

Yep, that second last one is a real soppy prick though, good to know it's properly upset that one in particular.

Yeah, they seem a decent lot there. Not so much when you're trying to leave St Andrews on a Tuesday night.  That first 20 minutes you could easily see why they're top of the league.  After the next 70 you wonder why we're not up there with em!

THIS is the point ... & we all know why.

Some reasonable posts on there.

Helps when yout team is miles clear at the top I suppose! 😁

Good luck to them next season in the championship- just need them to keep winning now, and beat anyone they play near to us especially.

I’m sure I’ve read that Birmingham have now played all the top 9, home and away

The highest placed team they have still to play is Barnsley. Looks like Brum can't do us any favours.

aye, they've only got barnsley left who've a realistic chance of playoffs

I think it's a close run contest between this one or the Sunderland 6-0 meltdown 😄

They need 5 wins. Had a feeling they’d drop the ball. We battered em though so I’m not claiming it was a poor brum.

Very sensible posts. I liked the fella who seemed upset by Mcginlays comments and it turned out super got it bang on.

A good watch this.

Fucks me off for some reason as they refer to themselves as the blues. Don’t know why just reads wanky and gets on my tits.

p.s the whites are going up

^^ Gives a cracking angle for our first goal

My neice's boyfriend is a season ticket holder (and now works full time for them as a scout but that's another story) and its definitely just Blues.  Doesn't have a "the" 😀

Its hard to criticise the current generation for it, they've been brought up on it.

No excuse for "the Tics" though, now that is shit.

Iquite enjoyed that. Not the usual sweary outbursts. They seemed a decent bunch of chaps.

Plenty of swearing on it. Always funny when it starts as they goals go in against them.

Fair bit of aloofness too; earned to a degree, but pride comes before a fall.

Particularly on our first goal: they rave about theirs, which was well worked, but when we do it, it's a shit one to concede.

He also said McAtee's effort was a poor strike. Dunno what planet he's on, but the reason it beat the keeper at the near post was because of the timing and power behind it. The lad has bagged a few this season where he has timed the shot tremendously, and applied plenty of biff to the ball.

What I meant was there was no loud sweary outburst towards our fans. At 3-1 they were more resigned to losing than to 'you fcking Bolton wankers', and 'offering us all outside'.

They were away fans who got well beat on a Tuesday night. Of course there was some swearing but it was more inward, towards themselves. I heard worse from the fans near me on the night who were winning 3-1

It wasn't meant to be taken literally.

I've seen another video from one of their bloggers.

Reckon it depends upon where exactly these chaps are sitting.

Enough pillocks on both sides giving it large.

Some outside afterwards too.

I was only commenting on the video I quoted.

Thought looking from west side it felt like everyone was doubling up on seats and getting crammed into nobhead corner
