Them Wigan C **nts.

Ok fair fucks they won the league an’ all that, but tonight i had to endure a midnight train full of the turds on a train from Manc to Wigan with loads of feral scruffs singing “Bolton get battered” blah fucking blah.

They can enjoy their day in the sun, but we’re on our way back and our paths will no doubt cross again.

Karma.

12th highest wages in the championship.  With the lowest crowds (or certainly bottom 3) in the division, this was inevitable wasn't it?

Released a statement this morning saying they’ve paid the outstanding sums owed to players and staff.

Nixon has posted that the owners have put £3m into the club

In Wiggins statement the chairman claims they’ve already pumped in an excess of £20m so far

£3 million wont go far - especially with no income except for a small amount of season ticket money coming in  over next few months

Whilst we all hear about the unpaid wages

what you never know in these situations is how much PAYE & VAT is outstanding

HMRC will be their downfall

and i  bet there's quite a few suppliers going unpaid too

one other thing on Wigan

thought this was good

3 million just about covers 2 months wages.

There’s been 4 budget meetings in 2 months.

are they due another penalty for the monies not being there to pay as per the requirement to have ?110%? of the wage bill in a ringfenced account?

I think the club will be due sanctions due to the late payment again. There may be sanctions against the owners for not depositing the 125% as agreed. Not sure they can punish the club for that.

Fining them should help towards next months wages not being paid on time 😁

This is Nixon’s take.

The EFL demanded that the owners put money in an account to pay wages after previous late payments.

This was ignored until now and that may see them incur personal penalties from the authorities rather than a club points deduction.

Marc Lies adds a “Keep Wigan in your thoughts” message on a news item about BWFC’s recent successes. He’s currently getting dog’s abuse for not knowing his audience and reminding him of Wigan’s gloating when we were close to the abyss.

As he lives on the Wigan border he’s just being diplomatic.

Think he’s right. Don’t have to feel sorry for them but to stoop to their levels is a bit of a poor do and something I felt we were better than.

Don't think we have stooped to their level as Don't remember anyone going to their shithole and gloating like a virgin that's just broke their cherry but fuck em,hope they go pop

Hope you are right pal. I’m not for them in any way just not that arsed about them. The can’t sustain dominance against a rugby team as top dog so don’t deserve my time and efforts is how I see it.

Oh, they are in our thoughts.

There’s barely a Latics fan for miles where he lives

Only a quarter of the ST’s sold v’s same time last year.

there’ll be another budget meeting soon..

Wonder if Wigan still have fans blindly backing the owners like we did

Would you though? Honestly, even with the £3m in would you trust them enough? That only covers the next few months and I think I’d be looking for a bit more assurance than that. Wigan are never going to be self sustaining so it’s always going to be down to the owner to fund the club not the fans.

Missed the M out after the figure!

I think the only thing Wigan fans can blame the owners  for is for them not doing their homework when they bought the club . They have put a few million into it  They probably thought support would go up with promotion. When we all know its ceiling is pretty low .

I couldn’t have put it any better. 👍

They'll likely make another late payment of wages, so pretty much starting on minus 8, happy days
