Brand Evatt

We had a decent thread a while back discussing Evatt’s philosophies and approach to the game (think it got tainted and pulled)

So not a bad time to start it up again at the beginning of the season.

In the main he’s done a fantastic job. A minority lost patience round about Xmas/New Year in both seasons.

But surely now he has the large backing of the majority of fans and the brand he talked about implementing here is now well and truly established.

Good article above highlighting how he’s using Sport Science to get the squad performing to it’s optimum level.

A young, meticulous, intelligent and passionate individual, who we are very lucky to have leading our club.

I hope he gets what he deserves with promotion to the Championship.

All the analysis and data aside, I just don't get how the board can seriously be sat thinking anything else but that change needs to happen. And if they think that Evatt can be the one to change

you can't stick your head in the face of the opposition

you'd get a red and 3 matche ban if you were a player who did it during a match

so sounds about right to me

Furry muff.

I just don't think a manager should be going onto the pitch and engaging with players like that.

All about setting the right example innit.

Thought he might  have got more matches, but reasonable in the end.

Never sure about fines- depends how much he earns maybe?

Fines are normally linked to pay and nirmally by the week

So, weeks pay?

correct. you can't pretend the actions are acceptable just because some people think the mans a bellend.

3 matches seems right in the end. shame he misses Brum away but two home games should be easy enough to sort out given we are now back cooking on gas

Agree but that can all be dealt with internally

I’d say it sounds about right but there’s no way it was a headbutt (not sure anyone’s said it was btw).

Neither did Pardew actually headbut:

"Pardew responded by leaning in to Meyler and moving his head towards him"

Pardew's was more of a headbutt than Evatt's was

There's no need for any manager to go on the pitch at all.

Seriously, Villa and Shrewsbury are our last two?

We drew both games so, yes, we have been worse this season.

Difficult when you're a nob

Villa doesn't even register as a proper game and shrewsbury 2nd half was a decent uptempo performance,  they let themselves down in the first half.

Down to his last half dozen games.............tick tock

Wishful thinking

Rightly or wrongly, he's going nowhere

My head is and always has been at a consistent level.....Why because i can see NOTHING has changed. We have played 6 teams that will end the season either relegated or in the bottom 10.

It is not the results i look for but improvement or a sound system that we can build on.

Obviously you cannot see this because your fingers get in the way of your sight whilst you are clapping

Two in midfield wont work in any standard of football or will dropping your only 20 plus a season goalscorer every other game.

My mind and others can clearly see this and yours is lost in cuckoos spinning around it
