Palace, Arsenal a couple of times, I remember the Arsenal home cup tie in 79/80 when one of their specials arrived late and they all sauntered across the Embankment at half time. Pretty sure that was one of the first matches they closed the big home section of the Embankment off for home fans. Either that, or it was totally deserted and void of Bolton fans. Most vibrant city ? How come you ended up in London then ? As a kid, I started off on the official travel club, think it was Tatlocks in those days. We soon ventured on the trains via the railcard scheme ..one adult at full fare and up to four kids for a quid apiece. Got some great bargains in those days. It was vibrant in those days, you could get a pint in the Leicester Sq pubs and Soho without to much damage to your wallet, the grounds were cheaper, and cockneys were talking cockney. paulhanley
I've got a couple of Brentford away games. The draw Casino mentioned when Sutton equalises and the long awaited 1-2 win. I'll have to post them at some stage. Does anybody remember a 4-3 loss at Orient with us 1-3 up well in to the second half? The book says it was late in 84/5. I couldn't believe it when we blew that one.

Midweek, again Seem to remember getting there just in time, and us starting like a train Then those of us on the open end were offered the chance to move to the seats at the side Maybe it started chucking it down? Wullie
What was the year Orient was called off not long before kick off? I went by myself and some of the older lads went watching another london match (I think Spurs???), and they took me with them and paid for me to get in

I'll make a list of other compilations I have and see if there is any appetite for these transferring, the odd 1 might be missing from someones collection. Then I will need the help of @paulhanley to get them on to here as i'm useless at stuff like this. Cheers for your help Blondi, didn't think these videos would see the light of day again

All I do is film the football on the tv screen from my phone, then I use a video editing app called Kinemaster and bung it up on YouTube. There's a lot of the Wrexham game on You Tube already but the Orient match will be a good un to see.

It'd be a travesty to lose the footage.

I never kipped on the midnight train, it was full of drunks & oddballs, & not for the faint hearted. On the plus side, it was free !! paulhanley
A big win from the 1985/6 season - Bolton 5 Cardiff 0. Phil Neal gets the first just before half time and then the second half is full of seriously comical Cardiff defending that allows Joyce, Came, Oghani and Caldwell to get on the scoresheet. This is March 86, we're edging our way to safety in Div 3 and on the Freight Rover run that ends at Wembley. Phil Neal still in his very early days as manager. If you listen carefully at full time you can hear something that is very redolent of Burnden Park in the 80s. The moment when a slightly nasally copper gets hold of the microphone and says over the tannoy: "This is a message for the Cardiff City supporters. Will you please remain were you aware. You will be escorted from the ground". Occasionally this was followed with "for your own safety" - drawing cheers from the Manny Road North!
