Duck Egg
We surely took more to Anfield, 8500, than we did to Birmingham in the Cup? 10000 to Man U in 91?
Guest
Forgot about them think brum was the biggest support we’d taken out of the north west for so many years, probably Arsenal after that

leigh white
I was thinking of a domestic league game, in 77 Blackpool were getting an average crowd of about 10,000, Bolton swamped the place with nearly 26,000 on.

It'd be close between that & Blackburn, wouldn't like to put a quid on it either way.

If we're ignoring show piece finals, then maybe the semi final of 1923. We beat Sheffield Utd at Old Trafford in what was then a record crowd for a semi final; 72000. stevieb
Modern times (i.e not old cunts) I'd say Blackburn away when we had 7500 on jussi double pen save. Great away game.

Cardiff was 43 years ago yesterday apparently. Anyone off here go? It must have felt like we'd blown it again coming away from there that day? The Middlesbrough game was a night match iirc? Did we take that many?
Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted April 22, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted April 22, 2021 I was at both. Think we had about 7,000 at Cardiff. The Boro game was called off due to snow on the Saturday... it was as rough as fuck that night, we probably had a couple of thousand iirc, Stan Cummins brace for them.
