  1. I didn't think one of the sites most argumentative clowns would be missed 😄 Very kind of you anyway @miamiwhite, if not a bit fucking dramatic 😉 For those that didn't know, the wee one came home early October. 149 days in hospital in total, 100 of them in intensive care. Born at just over 800 grams, he battled through pneumonia, sepsis, meningitis, blood transfusions and 2 trips to surgery. A proper little warrior (insert a bwfc legend's name here). Just hunkering down a bit for the winter and keeping our circle small. His lungs took a battering and he's really vulnerable to readmission if he catches something. He's on home oxygen whilst they grow stronger and we're getting lots of walks and time outside which helps us both. Not sure what the future will bring. But he's smiling away and even started laughing yesterday, so we can't ask for much more than that. Other than a nice pint of Guinness & three points tomorrow. A belated Merry Christmas fellas.

  3. Say what you will about rotation/tiredness and all that bollocks but for me the issue is obvious. We need a settled team. I’m afraid Randall and Dalby should be nowhere near the first team.

  4. Sheehan poor? Each to there own, but dont know what else he could have done tonight. He was the heart beat of the team first half, great shot which Dalby should have followed up but great defending as well, defence splitting pass to put in conway who also should have scored, then great run later on to set up Burstow.

  5. You've just summarised a full seasons worth of endless debate and discussion on here with one post. Nail on head.

  6. If we were having lots of the ball but hardly creating chances/having shots then it's more of a worry. We literally have the most shots and one of the highest expected goals in the league. We can't be having 28 shots against Rotherham from just Toal & Johnston can we. In virtually every game so far we have been mostly the better team. Even in the losses, 3-0 to Burton we missed a big chance then gave a penalty away, Northampton exactly the same, Wycombe we were the much better side but 2 minutes of madness cost us. What we are doing is working, I think we just gotta get better at it and there's more of an emphasis on the players to be efficient in both boxes.

  7. Hard to put into words how much I disagree with that. Beggars belief what some people are seeing versus what I'm watching.

  8. He pretty had to try and single-handedly get us a result tonight. I thought he was excellent and let down by a bunch of cowards who didn't have the bravery to try something for themselves, always taking the easy option to give it back to Sheehan to do something with it.

  9. Dalby has scored 2 in 18 this season and has 5 in 68 in his EFL career (49 of those were in L2). Burstow hasn't scored for nearly 3 months and has 12 career league goals, seven of which came in a 10 game span this season. It can hardly be a shock that they aren't the most clinical.

  10. We're 22 games into the season and still bleating about how we are the 'on another day' runaway league leaders. The 'best squad in the league' has spent 0 days in the top two and is now 7 points adrift of Lincoln City. To get to 92 points we need to go at 2.3ppg across the next 24 and we haven't looked remotely like stringing that kind of form together. We've won two away games and still have to visit all of the top three. Still time and a window to change things, but the facts are we've been miles off it. If the alarm bells aren't ringing now you're not paying attention.

  13. Great post. The best one I hear on occasions is “it’s no different to Evatt ball, sideways and backwards“ Then they get their wish, the ball is lumped forward into a sea of defenders and they then moan we’ve lost possession. All teams need a period of possession which involves passes that don’t go forward, how that turns into “Evatt ball” is unintelligent nonsense. The piece Craig Bellamy did about how important keeping possession is, is brilliant. With our wingers we’re a million miles away from Evatt ball. That team at the end of its tenure was a bunch of one-paced clones whose only option was sideways and backwards.

  14. I only wrote that because I had some dust in my eyes. Absolute props to you all for what seems like an extraordinary battle. One that you’re winning. Hope you’ve had a great Christmas you massive drama queen. Xxx

  15. He was absolutely outstanding, from start to finish (other than his corners as usual). Even after 95 minutes of constant involvement, doing a lung bursting run into the box which on another day wins a pen. Doesn't deserve to be on the losing side, he must be tearing his hair out. Tutu also outstanding, not even a question mark in my mind that he's our best RB with the current options.

  16. Thought Randal had a better game tonight than against Rotherham, and he was pretty decent then.

  17. If the Board want us to get into the Championship it will cost them however much Keillor Dunne from Barnsley along with a proven goalscorer. Do not care if any of the five loan signings go back or whoever they sell to bring money in for those two

  18. Spend big money on 2 strikers in January. … either loan or transfers…. Only way to get out of this league.

  19. I can't understand when people say on another day we win that 3-0 or 4-0 we just don't do that we have only scored 30 goals this season 1 more than Blackpool the least in the top 6 and we concede nearly every game it's a poor league and we are average SS needs to look at the system maybe time to not use 2 wingers and look for a midfielder that can get us some goals

  20. Just back and fuck me I'm still not sure how we didn't win that.Mansfield were shite,we were wasteful If Dalby had buried that we win at a canter.Still lots to play for so I'm not throwing my toys out but we need to start putting a few wins together starting at Doncaster

  21. The warning signs have been there for months. Ignoring that we have been shite was absolutely stupid and should have been addressed. Playing Randall because he got booed. He spent the entire match getting marked. He never gets the ball in the number 10 position because he goes hiding because he is utter shite. And he knows it.

  23. I agree our home record had to end at some point It just highlights our away form needs to pick up at some point We've gone from nearly being top two on boxing day to nearly being out the top six tonight The refs an easy target though, he didn't lose us that game, our inability ability to take our chances did

  24. Nothing to worry about, are you for effing real? The Ref was dogshit but nowhere near as shit as our so called strikers.

  25. On another day that game finishes 4-0 to us. Ref was dogshit as usual. Nothing to worry about really, and our home record had to end at some point. But let the meltdowns ensue.

  26. Christmas time for Mansfield. The worst team I've seen this year and they steal a goal. Our keeper didn't jump and punch the ball away. No one up front that can score. Two great wingers and no centre forward that can put the ball in the net. Dalby with his face in his hands after missing a 5 yard from goal sitter. I would have him back out tomorrow at 9am just hitting the ball with power in an empty net from the 5 yard box. Not rocket science

  27. I also don’t get why we have 2 free defenders and we are leaving their player alone to push our keeper. One of our free players needs to be protecting TSL.

  28. Our entire style of play just isn’t suited to scoring many goals from crosses. They either need to be delivered earlier, or get to the byline and cut them back like the other day. At the minute, the wingers take too many touches and then try to float them in against defences that have had time to set up and prepare rather than being caught on the turn. Hibs scored twice from crosses the other day and even my Mrs said to me why don’t Bolton score goals like that. Arfield leaving Falkirk for what it’s worth. Erhahon doing ok as a St Mirren product.

  29. Oh, make no mistake, things like this are absolute manna from heaven (proper Christian heaven, where Englishmen don’t attend but like to wave crosses around anyway). For what it’s worth, I’d volley this Egyptian cunt straight into the English Channel and make him swim home. Its the empty headed hypocrisy from Farage and his chums that makes me realise what a shower of wankers they really are.

  31. There's no point Dalby ever starting unless our 'wingers' are going to start putting decent crosses in from out wide.

  32. Some good words of advice if our in game drama queen posters are getting a bit frustrated tonight 😊 “We all have to stay patient,” he told the Bolton News. “If it takes to the last minute of the game, the last minute of the first half, then so be it. “As long as we find a way to win then that is all that really matters. “I know from the fans’ perspective it isn’t easy and you want to see your team playing forwards but it’s not that easy. You don’t want to keep giving the ball back to the opposition unnecessarily. “You have to wear them down at times. And we are finding ways to do that.”

  33. I rarely venture on this side of the forum - glad I did, a bit of falling out and drama, some beer talk, a touch on the football, some heartfelt messages and a nice ending, who needs Netflix! And most importantly @London Wanderer pleased to hear all is good with the little one - thought I had your number, but turns out our messaging on St Max was on PMs on here. Keep in touch and enjoy your School Holidays 😊💙

  35. Without knowing (or giving a shiny shit) about the story, I'm going to guess there's something contextually different about the two cases. Perhaps the British citizens wasn't imploring others to burn down hotels housing migrants. Who knows, eh? TMGJ will, of course, he knows everything.

  36. I try to keep tabs on the Bolton Players out on loan, Aldershot - Charlie Warren and Sam Inwood: Inwood seems to have played every game for them, Warren has played 2 for them. Rochdale - Broome, played 4 matches for them including an Assist at the weekend (if you haven't seen the goal it's ace) Exeter - Have Gomes, who has been out with a muscle injury, managed about half hour across 3 games Torquay - Currently have Sonny Sharples, he's made a few sub appearances but has been on the bench each match Altrincham - Hutchinson seems to be the keeper of choice now, playing every available game for them. Warrington Town - Had Mark Isong, he played 15 games, scoring 2, now at Atherton with Dalimore. No details - Irwin, Lawrence, Weston, Eze,

  37. I’d also have Burstow in for this one - more likely to find a goal today than on NYD - and would actually give Randall another run out. Dempsey isn’t great in that 10 slot in tight home games where they just set up with a low block and Randall did enough to have another shot at it. Dalby up top for NYD with Dempsey running off him and using the additional space. Gale on the left today, Tutu start on NYD. ACD starts both

  45. If you’re facing us and you see ACD and Gale on the bench then you’re buzzing. Forget the formation bollocks, you are absolutely delighted to see our 2 match winners sat with their fucking joggers on. Personally I don’t think too much is wrong with it, but would go with the midfield 3 of Sheehan, EE and Simons and let Gale / ACD do the job of getting close to Burstow (and expect him to get back to early season form where he can actually hold the ball up for more than half a second).

  48. How can you justify two wingers away from home........I love Gayle and ACD but we need to be solid

  49. Yes, the latter for me. I've said it a few times but the 4231 leaves us a bit too open away from home imo. Would always like to see Erhahon and Simons with either Dempsey or Sheehan. Win the physical battle first and foremost and have 3 in midfield. And then even have one of the wingers as a more workmanlike option like Forss.

  50. Yes it is all about opinions and i like Schooling Desparado....Good debate is healthy. I came on here once the teams were out yesterday and said i do not see what SS sees in Randall, i also came on to say he played well Yesterday. I have also said i would have Christie before Cogley but again Christie was shocking yesterday......We all do not get it right all the time
