City at their best will try to play out from the back, but are willing to play it long when the entire opposition team are pressing high. It’s about making the opposition question what you’re going to do. We have been very predictable tonight.

Any degree of press when our keeper / CB have the ball we completely run out of ideas. Games aren’t always played on our terms and the sooner we accept that and find a way to get through as effectively as playing out the more comfortable we’ll look

We have no other ideas than pass it to the center back. The number of times we have invited pressure is ridiculous

I get it won't happen very often, but we could really do with a Plan B when teams are good enough to stop us playing out from the back

The method of play is in our DNA, and Evatt has always said that.

We've been a bit more pragmatic this season, but fundamentally, we won't change.

Overall it will probably be to our benefit, but there will still be times where we come unstuck.

We should have taken the lead too when on top, which may have changed things to a degree.

Evatt can't legislate for such a miss.

Completely get that and you’re right it will work for us far more often than it doesn’t. However there’s 24 distinct types of DNA. Not just the one… finding a slight variance in it would serve us much better all round

Frustration he’s been marked out of the game the Portsmouth manager as done his homework .

Wasn't it the same in the Exeter game (scoreline a bit different obviously!) but Sheehan's run of being our best midfielder seems a while ago, plenty of options to replace him on current form.
