He's literally come out this morning and slated it.

Interesting this - not because of the flag thing per say as its not really of huge importance but they way the media are treating him and what he says on such things - its like the media have pretty much accepted he's going to be the next PM as what he says on 48-week long popular news cycle events actually matters.

Changing the flag has caused controversy in other areas. I suppose it depends on the reasons for it. The thin blue line flag for instance. 🤷‍♂️

Not a fan of that neither.

I get the purpose, but I find it over the top.

Like wearing grief as a badge of honour.

Maybe but the black and white version without the blue line is on police uniforms. A stylised version of the original union flag. Done for cost reasons I guess.

Just don't see the point of anything like that on a police uniform. Collar number and obvious police marking and that's it.

Going back to the shirt, I’ve seen many sports shirts over the years and quirky styles representing the cross of St George. I remember the England RL shirt with John Smiths in the middle of it. That caused a bit of a stir also. That was a Puma shirt. The authorities  should have realised that it would be unpopular.

I wonder if Nike would be brave enough to fuck around with the flag of oooooo let’s say at random Saudi Arabia, in this way:

I like that. It will look brilliant when they take the knee.

Some numpty ex pro was on talksport earlier crying about the flag then citing the 1966 team shirt :D

I think a good few people think our badge is the flag rather than 3 lions

It's a fucking disgrace. We should hand that trophy back.

Doubt embroidery with black/grey/white cotton has a cost saving over red/white/blue.

The Fire Service and Ambulance Service wear the same stylised Union Flag but with red or green band.
