Anyone blaming the ref today he fucking saved us in injury time when they were straight through one on one with keeper and he brought it back for a free kick

Bang on we said the same too. Luckily the free kick came to nowt.

I'd of been livid if it'd been up the other end.

Id like to see a replay. Everyone acting like he would of scored. He was only just inside the box with at least one centre half to beat. It looked worse because the ref blew dead early and everyone stopped.

I hope we do. But I really don’t think we will.

We can all disagree on football stuff, and understand that football is an emotional game where people lose their temper, but his behaviour today (unless there is something we don’t know) was the straw that broke the camels back for me.

His antics on the touch line, coupled with private life issues being brought into work, are ridiculous.

I hear a lot of talk about ‘values’ coming from our club figurehead. They don’t seem to apply to him.

We're a team very much in his image, when the going is good we look slick and professional, any time we encounter hardship of any kind it gets ugly quickly.

I've always seen us as flat track bullies but I don't even think we're that.

So what is it ??, Poor defensive coaching, or, Poor defenders ?, personally I think it's a bit of both !!

Atherton has said they made the players aware of the tactic but they failed to spot it

Interesting game .

First half Individuals were OK ish but poor as a team , second half blindin. Had them on toast for 45 mins .

Dempsey MOM .

As for the ref , no complaints other than timekeeping.

The "there will be a minimum of x extra minutes" was brought in after the Bolton Blackburn game .  He didnt play the minimum and ignored an extra 2 that should have been added on .

As has been said any game coming from 2-0 down is a a great result regardless of who you play .

Shrewsburys shithousery was World Class , and for that alone I could have happily jogged round and filled a few in !

We were all over them and then the subs started. Sucked all the momentum out of the game.

Why can’t he play the game in front of him rather than one drawn up on a whiteboard on Friday afternoon?

So, he sits down and contains himself, he’s a passionless wanker. He’s animated over a shit referee’s decisions, he’s a dick making a bad example.

He really can’t win with some of you can he?

Huge missed opportunity with Birmingham losing today. To go 2 down against dross like that isn’t acceptable, especially at home. We just never learn.

We’ve gained a point on Birmingham.

He never will win over the regular doom mongers who can not wait for us to lose.  Bet there fingers were triggered at 3.45.   Pricks

First half was shite and confusing considering what had been said,   2nd half well played, dempsey deserves a beer tonight and if Collins had a tad more composure we,d be reet toneet.

Onwards and upwards

What a load of rubbish. He can have passion and question the referee, without thrusting his head into a player.

The guy is tactically limited, a bully and a loose canon. He should have been removed after Wembley, he should have been removed after the Huddersfield collapse, and should be removed now; both for tactical incompetence seen yet again, and another example of his inappropriate behaviour.

Sharon Britton has been magnificent for us. But she does seem to have a blind spot when it comes to Evatt.

🤣

There's a happy medium of being passionate about the game without losing your head.

Evatt regularly loses his and makes a fool of himself. And then flopped to the other extreme v Huddersfield of sitting resigned. A more consistent personality might set a better example

We could do with a Goon in the middle .  (Im assuming you mean the ice hockey term)

I've not thought about Ice Hockey since I watched Mighty Ducks. I'm saying that Ian Evatt is a goon and he knows it when he goes to sleep. His mates do too. Doesn't make him a bad person. He's certainly irritating though.

I would rather get rid of evatt through the results could not give a fuck about

Exactly. It's as simple as that.

They were a disgrace with the dark arts and ref took a while to get a grip of it but dished a few cards out 2nd half and added 8 mins at end, which was about right and more than some would have.

You're right though, where he really did us a favour was not playing that advantage for them, we got away with one big time there.

What was really concerning was that was the first time Shrews had ventured into our half for over half an hour yet waltzed through us.

You’re right that he really can’t win with some people.

But that was pretty embarrassing today. He didn’t need to be on the pitch.

I think that’s his third sending off in 12 months (Wigan and Northampton (i think). He’ll be banned for a few games.
