Virgin are trying to bankrupt me but Sky have an ace deal - no dish just using a streaming box.

Anybody got that? Any good?

The virgin one works just fine, but I've only ever had sky through a dish before.

sky creep the bill up, just check how long the offers are that make up the deal, We had them quote low and the "line rental" was only 6 months at a cheap rate then doubled

It's a 2 yr deal

Its half the price of what virgin are wanting

Do you have the streaming box or dish?

My mate has the streaming box, and it seems more than OK, in fact I'm not sure he's ever had a dish........

Sky Stream is better than Virgin Stream, I think. Sky Stream allows you to use any broadband supplier, while Virgin Stream only works with Virgin broadband.

My best mate has Sky Stream, I've never noticed any issue with it

As far as I'm aware they all do that

I'm with BT and my bill goes up by around 4% every year

Doing that as we speak. So far nowhere near it

I was at that stage, I actually terminated the contract, and I had every intention of leaving. Within 24/48 hours, they were calling me back with some incredible deals, and I ended up staying with them

Where I'm at tbh,

Know people with firesticks and they've always been shite tbh, someone lent me one and gave it back after a week.

We have a dish, very rare we have issues. Costs about 90 quid a month for full package, with netflix, sports and broadband.

Back in the early days of OnDigital a mate at work sorted me with a dodgy card - was a bit of green plastic with a load of chips and transformers and shit moonted to it.

Had to give it to him every week to get it reprogrammed. Never been arsed since

Same here , they shoved the bill up by 22% and within a couple of days of us telling them about our intention to leave they gave us a load of extra channels , improved Broadband and dropped the bill by £10 from it's original price . I think we have been with them for 27 years under their various names . This has been the nearest i've come to binning them though .

Firesticks are ace. Switch on and off subscriptions when I want and need them, good fornus considering I've not actually watched a second of TV this week and that's pretty usual.

Think he's talking about the dodgy ones with all the illegal free stuff.
