Needled to say I don't fancy my chances.

If anyone hears of any spares let me know.

Wanted to take my lads. I'm in airport 10am Tuesday so fancy my chances even less.

Why can't they just give us same they gave Stockport 😪

Spent the last 12 months on the beautiful isle of Sardinia, the limoncello is a heck of a lot cheaper here than the bars on Piazza San Marco.

With any luck this will be my first away since the same fixture last season due to a lack of seaside away grounds (nowhere local to dock my gondola usually), but it’s all down to my mate from Hindley’s spare CRN being a success.

Does anybody have any pub recommendations?

"I’d personally give the Murderers no tickets but unfortunately we have to give them a percentage. As for giving them the next section of the East no effing way.

I was there that day and will never forgive especially as they still do that stabbing sign…horrible place horrible people end of and there will be some who know who did it but never came forward"

1973 mate. Time to move on.

What a bell end.

What stabbing sign is that?

And the assailant was identified and charged - no need for anyone to come forward.

There's a hell of a lot of people who were apparently there that day.

Gate must have been 100k

I’ve never seen anyone do a stabby sign. Can’t be many knocking about at the match now who were of a reasonable age back then.

weird how stuff continues. Be kids saying stuff who have no idea what it’s for. Similar to the “fuck the Tory”

Well I was barely even primary school age when the incident happened and wouldn't yet  have been taken to a BWFC match. Yet in the eyes of the Bloomfield Road intelligentsia I will be a "murderer".

It's appreciated that it was a horrendous incident. It can even be appreciated why a serious grudge has been borne by a generation of their support. However when you are  smearing fans who weren't even born at the time then you are patently trying to stir animosity and trouble.

I have to admit to some degree their attitude has had the desired effect on me. I can't abide them, they rank higher for me than the likes of PNE and Burnley and on a par with Blackburn. I suspect it has far, far less influence on those in younger age groups.

Let's hope we finally end the win drought we've had at their ground and send home sulking.

They've done really well round the Winter Gardens to improve things. Free business rates and grants for shop frotnages. Looks really well round there now.

The town center itself is no different to any other northern town. Take it Eagle85s Mrs doesn't frequent Bolton town center much either :D

The problem areas are the streets just off the good bits.

Best analogy I read was Blackpool is like a fallen Christmas tree, sparkling on the outside, slowly dying on the inside.

The amount of money the town generates, the streets should be paved with gold. But the council, in the past, would rather spend millions on vanity projects rather than proper regeneration. Something the new government are now addressing tbf.

For years the streets of hotels have been left to ruin. Council then allowed companies to use them as HMOs and allow evert wafe and stray from around the country to live in them.

That along with building 4 massive chain hotels with a few miles of eachother, including one they actually paid £26m for. That in turn smashes the local trade and creates even more derelict hotels.

Years of neglect and poor spending and you end up with the hell holes just off the prom.

Hopefully the new regeneration plans come to fruition.

Just seen this, was more referring to the area around the ground. Everywhere being boarded up she thought she was in some kind of dystopian nightmare. Hadn't been there in a good number of years myself, was trying to picture all the hotels still up and running in full swing, couldn't get over the level of decline.

Might have posted this before but I had to attend Blackpool magistrates court for work a couple of years back. Parked at the football ground and walked over.  It felt like wandering through Chernobyl. All those back street b&bs were boarded up and looked at the point of collapse, yet one or two still had people living there.  Stepping over the homeless and sleeping bags on the steps up to the court was another eye opener. Tbf Fleetwood and Morecambe, which I also had to cover, weren't much better.

Yeah I saw that on the announcement last week but there isn't even a link to the game on the ticketing site yet...
