I was reading about the history of the red hand and red fist yesterday and it's origins. Quite mad really.

Apparently when they were fighting at the battle of the boyne they couldn't find a winner so they went for who could take the biggest hand up their arses.

Some Ulster mon took one that big it made his arse bleed so that's where the red hand came from.

Later down the line devout Ulster lads fist eachother senseless in honour after flute practice and that's where the more hard-line red fist comes from.

Jinglin geordie is a decent wee pub not far from where  you are now  if you're heading  towards royal mile area 

also halfway house right near you as well both worth a visit for summat different 

stay out of brewhemia it's fucking  guff 

if other way then cafe royal and Guildford are decent and abbostford on end of rose st is very good

Jinglin Geordie and Halfway House also a good spot for 18:52 train home as the train leaves from that side of Waverley

I had to go to a conference for work based in Edinburgh 

The conference people put us up in accommodation but it was at the student accommodation at the Uni and looked very much like that 

Can't believe that when I was a student at uni I snagged women in a single bed
