I'm not sure it's that big a factor in the decision. Between the playoff semi final and final in 24, I believe we got about 250K Quote

It’s like reduced prices for cup games. Because revenue is shared, the away team must agree to reduced prices. You cannot unilaterally make the decision. There is no need for agreement on league games, as all receipts belong to the home team. Quote

Annoying that there's a geographical advantage for southern teams for what's supposed to be a neutral venue. And Watford in 99, they could have almost walked it Though if they played it at Old Trafford, there would be similar complaints that it suited us Quote

Probably took less also in 23/26/29 but didn’t stop us winning Quote

DazBob Posted March 4 Posted March 4 (edited) I just hope to fuck that if we are in the playoffs and we make it to the final there's no pitch invasion and players joining in, drinking beers etc. Said it last time, at the time. Winning the semi is winning nothing. Celebrate if/when we win the final. Edited March 5 by DazBob Quote

Its the equivalent of needing to get 6 points from your last 2 games of the season, winning the first one, and having a pitch invasion 😀 Despite still having to win the next game which is possibly against a team that finished above you. Going on the pitch after the semi was a complete embarrassment Although, it's the quickest I've ever been off the car park Edited March 4 by L/H White Quote

gonzo Posted March 4 Posted March 4 The fans going on was sound. My lads loved it They players with their beers celebrating with fans was the killer. Shouldve been straight down the tunnel. Quote
deeane Koontz Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Was Cringing like fuck watching them supping in the stands. All Oxford's manager teamtalk needed to be was " Hey lads, look at this. They think they've already won it" It all reeked of Evatt Quote

First time Bang Average gets the ball, put him out of the game. Quote

The players are the ones who need to be professional and straight down the tunnel Quote
Tombwfc Posted March 5 Posted March 5 It was funny watching that Big Sam doc that I don't recall any thought of a pitch invasion when we stayed up against Boro. Now we've had three in recent memory celebrating far lesser achievements. I do think it's a harmless bit of a fun though. And really had there been no pitch invasion we'd still have got bounced by Oxford, so at least people got some enjoyment out of that playoff run. Quote
DazBob Posted March 5 Posted March 5 It's not for me, but I have no problem with the fans celebrating. It was more the players. I'd hope Schumacher reminds them they've won nothing and there's a job still to be done. Quote

It was never even a thought for so long, but it felt completely natural against Peterborough (only time I’ve been on) and since then everything has become a lot more feral. And you can’t mention the Barnsley play off pitch invasion without a thought back to the one at Accrington in the EFL Trophy semi 🙈😆 Quote

It does happen after promotion games. Winning a semi final isn't one of those occasions though. Quote
