Don't let anyone know you've got tools, because as sure as eggs is eggs as soon as they find out you've got a drill they'll want you to drill something,  knock something or screw something in.

Guaranteed.

Shirley every bloke homeowner has at least basic toolkit?

The day before we left our son’s house in Sydney, he had a toilet blockage. Nothing messy, just slow draining after flushing. I said I’d sort it, just need the right tool. Off I went to the Mitre 10 store in Sydney centre and arranged to meet them all for coffee on Circular Quay. When I got it out of the bag to show them there was a scramble by them all to put it back!😊

I have a daft habit of buying tools to do one specific job, then never using them again. I always think "Surely I've got every tool I could possibly ever need now?", then a few days later I'm in screwfix collecting a set of offset spanners or a pipe cutter or some other shite.

I now have three pipe cutters, as each time I have needed to work on some copper pipe, I have been unable to find mine.

Once I have bought a new one, done the job, I then put the new one away, so as I know where it is in the future. I put it in my plumbing box, next to the other pipe cutters that I was unable to find barely hours ago.

They have various uses I believe. The one in the picture is a transparent toolkit bag to illustrate my lack of tools.

Honest.

Anyway, Mrs. Fogarty informs me that it’s a “toilet bag” but as I’ve not had a shit in it I can’t comment further.

I’ve got exactly that bag. But now all my tools are now in drawers in a workbench.

Next step is to go full wanker and get some of that shadow foam

Won't be the same without the risk of cutting open your fingers when you rummage (happened just last week)... I find stuff I long forgot about, next I'll send a pic of my tool shed... only I can find stuff in there

There's a house clean with the best man shed/garage you'll ever see.

It's got everything from a vice to labelled drawers full of screws and fixings.

He must fuckin really hate his wife.

I know I do.

You hate his wife or your own?
Or both?

I’ve still got some spanner’s that belonged to my grandad. Doubt I’ll ever use them because they are all BSW (Whitworth)

Get yourself an old MG
