stevieb Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Watched inglorious basterds starring Widnes last night. Decent enough. Also saw the sitter which was positively average apart from opening with a bit of slick Rick. Quote
gonzo Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I think it's my public duty to inform everybody that Ghostbusters 2 is on at 15:55 on Gold. Quote

Smiley Posted January 6, 2013 Author Posted January 6, 2013 Django Unchained for me toneet too, have already told the missus she's not allowed int front room till it's finished Will be watching this on the train to Edinburgh next Friday! As for the Dragon Tattoo Trilogy - great films, but do lose there way from time-to-time. The shoot-out at the end of the 2nd was a bit far fetched. I'm in a minority who actually think they did an equally good job with the English version. Be good to see the remakes for the 2nd & 3rd films. Quote
Big City Girl Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I think it's my public duty to inform everybody that Ghostbusters 2 is on at 15:55 on Gold. I caught the end of that yesterday and forgot how much I loved Bobby Brown in those days!! (Not a euphamism) Quote

DazBob Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) I really fancy this Django ... but are all the copies out there cam only? If so, I might have to get fleeced by the cinema. Edited January 8, 2013 by DazBobParr Quote

Django plus a lot of other fairly new films around at moment are DVD screeners. Always happens this time of year coming up to the oscars/awards seasons. Not that I partake in any of this sort of thing *cough* *cough* Quote

barryk32 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 (edited) Watched Flight last night. Its supposed to be brilliant. The plane scenes were brilliant, the rest of it wasn't. Being 2 hours 20 minutes long didn't help either as they could very, very easily have got rid of 45 minutes worth of useless pointless shit. 5 or 6 out of 10 for me. Edit : The description pissed me off as well. "An airline pilot saves a flight from crashing, but an investigation into the malfunctions reveals something troubling". This makes me think interesting twists/conspiracy etc but no. The something troubling is that he was pissed up. This isn't a spoiler as the first 10 minutes of the film show him getting pissed up and taking drugs, waking up and continuing to get pissed up and take drugs then board the plane and carry on getting pissed up while he was on the plane. Anyway, watched that Marigold Hotel on Sky last night, if you are into that kind of movie, its pretty good. Some great characters. Bill Nighy is superb as usual. Quote
