Has anybody seen St Georges's Day yet? if so, is is it worth a look?

Aye, not bad, if you like cockney gangster type films (essex boys, rise of the footsoldier, the business, that type of stuff)

Killer Joe and or Killing them Softly were a better watch to me though.

Remakes are offensive. They're either an abomination like Cage's Wicker Man or Reeve's Rear Window, or a precise copy, like yon mon who thought it would be a good idea to do Psycho. The only good remake is The Man Who Knew Too Much, which Alfred Hitchcock make in 1934 but wasn't happy with it, so he did it again in about 1956. They've done a Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. Pants. Sylvester Stallone's Get Carter the crowning turd in the gutter.

Oh wait! True Grit. That's an exception. And Scorsese's Cape Fear is good. And I suppose The Departed was a remake of Infernal Affairs which was good though Infernal Affairs was superior.

I can't think of too many miself

I thought The Ring was better than the Japenese version (The Wing)

Let Me In was good, nowhere near as good as Let The Right One In, but stuck to being pretty dark and what not

I get why they would remake some, like Clash Of The Titans for example, to do the special effects

but not a film like Total Recall, where you change the storyline that made it the film it was in the first place

Anyone seen Lawless?

Is it worth a watch?

Yeah its decent. Saw it at the cinema. Will probably watch it again, Shia the beef is a twat though so he ruins it a bit.

I'll raise you The Italian Job

I'll let you have it, though I've not seen it

when I read that they changed Turin to Venice, as most Americans won't have heard of Turin, I decided it best not to bother

Death Race 3.

Has anyone seen Death Race or Death Race 2?

Well you know what to expect.

Oscars no, being able to carry on watching after going for a beer and a piss without asking any questions, yes.

Never win any Oscars but I dont think it expected to.

5.6/10 on IMDB, I'd go with that.

Just been dragged to the Imax to see Les Miserables. Not really my sort of thing, but it was ok and wifey and daughter liked it, bit of a crying session for the wimmin and too many close ups which became weary for me. Suppose it will clean up at the Bafta's and Oscars though.

Can't wait to get my part of the bargain next week - django unchained.

Here's a couple of things I thought I would never say.

Just watched Les Misérables and it was fucking outstanding. One of the best films I have ever seen.

Secondly, Sacha Baron Cohen was superb.
