HR Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 gunna go 3-1 but as big e has will go 2-1 with knight and elmo on the mark. 25643 to witness the madness 0 - 1 they win their cup final with an early goal despite us dominating for 80 minutes.
glennboltw Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 No Holden? Mark Davies in for Holden! Slight thigh strain in training!
jonathan Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 this is davies' chacne to shine. he will know he has to play well given the form of Holden. Hope he comes in and does a blinder like he did against spurs. I think this game will suit him as it will be end to end and blackpool will want to attack. He can show how good he is with the ball
richbwfc Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Missing Holden. Getting overrun in midfield and Muamba looks lost. Final balls have been generally poor to. Still, no reason why we can't get back into it!
surrey_white Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Point gained or 2 points lost? Paul Merson said Mark Davies goal was one of the best he has seen in years. He also said Kevin Davies missed from 2 yards. Needed the 3 points today with a difficult December.
jayjayoghani Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Aye our 2nd goal was wonderful. Klasnic's awareness and touch
Chadd Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Dont know if am dissapointed or elated!!! i wanted to beat these
Sweep Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 He also said Kevin Davies missed from 2 yards. He wasn't that far out, a yard at the very most I would say
Casino Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 i can't be disappointed after that. Holloway blew it. We eeren't much behter against newcastle just got more breaks. Coyles a gambler and today he won. Elmander is special mark d was unstoppable when he got at them
jolly-olly Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 I am wondering after today what a central midfield pairing of Holden and M Davies would be like. Holden still gets the tackles in as well as plays and Davies is brilliant at running deep from midfield. Muamba doe what he does well but I thought he had a bit of an off day today. I think Steinson will be back at right back next week. Varney gave Ricketts the runaround.

I think Steinson will be back at right back next week. Varney gave Ricketts the runaround. Blackpool targeted Ricketts today and it paid off, he'll be having nightmares for weeks about this afternoon. We were shite between 20 mins and 75 but by fuck we've got spirit. That said, they could have buried us in between. Davies' goal was nothing short of Barcelona-esque.
Eddie Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 We started well and should have finished some of our chances. We got into some good areas early on but the final ball was usually poor. The defence was a shambles throughout the game, as was the non apparent centre midfield apart from when M Davies could get on the ball and run with it. No. 14, I think it's Grandin, caused problems all match by dropping between defence and midfield with nobody knowing who to pick him up. Muamba had the worst match i've seen him have for a long time and we massively missed Holden. K Davies has been unreal recently but didn't have the best game today, they combated him very well at the back. What a gamble Coyle made with his subs! We basically had 1 central midfielder, who is attack minded, with 1 winger, and 4 strikers for 15/20 minutes. And it paid off! We looked awesome going forward and some of the passing moves we're top class. When Davies missed from a yard out, and then Petrov's got blocked on the line I thought it just wasn't going to happen, but what a goal! Seriously I know we have scored some good team goals already this season, but that was utter world class. Even from then on I thought they could go forward at any point and score with our lack of midfield, and then nearly had a heart attack when I though Petrov's free-kick went in. It's never dull at the Reebok and for me it's a point gained due to the circumstances of being 2 down, and Blackpool are not a bad team! Cheers for the tickets HW
Zico Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 point gained we missed Holden badly in the first half, we were either too lazy or underestimated blackpool they deserved their 2-0 lead but I wasn't too concerned at the time, thought we'd get one back and game on did not think he'd have the balls to go Davies, Elmander, Klasnic, Petrov, Moreno, Davies - not a tackler in sight, and it paid off that 2nd goal beat all the others we've scored hands down of late great feeling, fair result, love football me
Sweep Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Davies' goal was nothing short of Barcelona-esque. If that goal had been socred by Messi at Barcelona, they would be talking about it for ages. It was an absolutely class goal, especially considering we were losing at the time, nobody looked to be panicking in the entire build up. In the end, it was a good point salvaged. Fair play to Blackpool, at 2:0 up a lot of teams would have tried to hold on to what they had. Blackpool kept on attacking and going for a 3rd. A very entertaining game.
Guest bwfcdan Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Depressing first 75 minutes.. Last 15 was brilliant.. Reaction of the fans when the equaliser, especially in the east lower was amazing! Blackpool fans looked really miffed! Which is brilliant!
Happy Wanderer Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 Well done to the lads for a great come back and well done to Blackpool for giving us a game!
HomerJay Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Muamba needs to do what he does best and stop trying get forward IMO. Against a better team we would be seriously punished. Ricketts and skd were awful too. We were lucky to get a point but fair play to the lads for getting that in the end. Still 2 points dropped mind.
Didledee Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Wow! what a game. Before the match, I wouldn't have been happy if I knew it was gonna end 2-2, but I'll take this today. Every credit to Blackpool, they certainly played their part, their goals should have been defended better from us, but they could have scored more, D.J Campbell missing some great chances. I think they saw Ricketts today as a weak link in our team, countless times their winger got in behind Ricketts after like 40 yard diagonal passes, even started doing it against Robinson in the 2nd half. Now onto Brazil, no sorry not Brazil, Bolton, we are on another planet right now when we get it right. The first 25 minutes I was well impressed, we was in complete control, playing some sexy football, but didn't take our chances, Davies should have shot across the goal, instead to the keepers left IMO. Then the game changed, it got a little scrappy, and their midfielder Grandin and Adam were getting a lot of the ball, Campbell was dropping off Cahill and Knight and it seemed like everything was falling for him to lay it back to the support, and then they rather hit out wide, or tried and got Campbell through one on one, which did look like it could happen. We still had chances ourselves though and Mark Davies was like a little running machine, he was unstoppable at times when he ran at them. Dunno what happened to Jussi in that 2nd goal, we seem to be conceding from corners recently, gotta get that sorted in training. Now onto the real deal, I genuinely never believed we would lose, even at 2-0 down, all I was saying was one goal and we'll do it, Coyle gets every credit here, what positive subs, what ambition, what belief. That last 20 minutes was one of the greatest displays I've seen, yes it's only Blackpool some will say, but my god how many chanced did we have! in the whole match I think we must have had about 20+ efforts on goal and a lot on target. Petrov's goal was pure magic, little flick up and a volley that was out of this world, Petrov didn't really impress me when he came on, had a few wayward strikes, and lost the ball a few times, but my god what a stunner! I actually thought K.Davies had a poor game, gave it away a lot IMO, and once again he misses a sitter from 2 yards, it was like he didn't push himself hard enough to put it in, that followed a M.Davies header that superbly saved, we didn't give up though, and again we came, this time Petrov seeing his shot cleared off the line! the goal was coming, I knew it and then the sensation happened. Even had the pleasure of seeing Moreno doing some nice tricks, he did lose it a couple of times and once slipped like Bambi on ice. We have scored some fine team goals this season, but if that second goal is beat I'll eat my own bollox, what an absolute heaven of a goal, Moreno with nice fancy stuff on the left wing, brings it inside and plays a nice ball in the centre for Mark Davies, Davies finds Kevin Davies, K.Davies with a beautiful little touch to Elmander in the box, with his back to goal Elmander back heels it to Klasnic who first time does a swivel pass straight in the path off Mark Davies to cooly make it 2-2 How many goals of the season are we gonna score? 2-2 isn't the greatest result, and we should really be looking to beat Blackpool, but they played very well and we conceded 2 soft goals, good header for the 1st mind. When have Bolton had so many attackers on the pitch? we seriously looked amazing in that last 20 minutes, the game had it all, chance after chance and save after save, entertainment at it's finest. Bring on City! nothing to be afraid of That freekick in the last minute was probably destined for Matty Taylor to score the winner on his birthday, but Petrov had a decent effort. Well done to both clubs. Thanks for a great entertaining match, and thanks to Coyle for making us look bloody unreal at times
Sweep Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Dunno what happened to Jussi in that 2nd goal I thought that Kevin Davies tripped Jussi on the second goal - I'll have to take another look later on during MOTD
Burndens Bogs Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 He also said Kevin Davies missed from 2 yards. I reckon Kev Davies was fouled in that incident, a little dig into his kicking calf -just before he pulled the trigger.................Penalty imo. Good point under the circumsism.

Jesus wept
