Perhaps because he (and his agent) seem to have been stringing the club along for months (if the quotes attributed to Coyle today are true)

these aren't the words of somebody who feels he's been 'strung along'

"I have always felt and always known given the dialogue (chairman) Phil Gartside had with his representative they were probably looking for a new option.

"I personally wish Johan well if and when that comes about because he has worked ever so hard for me in training each and every day.

"When he has worn that shirt he has given me everything he has got in a number of positions and worked his socks off for the team. He is someone I have a very good relationship with."

if anybody has played the game, its coyle in protecting elmander from the shit he'd have got from the east lower dicks if word had got out he wanted to try something new

Put out what ever the strongest 11 is to try and finish top half.

That's a no then

Shit players can't do what Elmander has. He's had a very good season, this sucks tbh.

What sucks, Didles ?

Simple question. He's leaving at the end of the season. Some fans are unhappy with him. It's a chance to try something different. Elmander in midfield probably isn't our strongest line-up .......

Because unless we get another Sturridge, who have we got? apparently Klasnic can't do 90 mins, K.Davies seems to be on the decline, we won't replace the Elmander of THIS season.

It's a shame that this fucking useless stump's departure has now got 5 pages but Stringy's only 2.

The world is upside down.

The cunt only started playing when he was looking at a new contract. Until then we'd paid him millions for pallywanging the ball into the upper tiers of the Reebok.

I shit ye not, pound for pound, Trevor Morgan makes him look like a pub player.

Thankfully, I'll have forgotten about this bag of overpaid shite in the morning.

Let's hope he gets boo'd to fuck and his legs snapped

I like you mate, ever thought of becoming a politician?

I am not bothered about Elmander leaving, never ever convinced me that he was anything but average, BWFC will move on quickly someone with heart and spirit can easily replace Elmander even if they have less technique, the only down side was we overpaid for him in the first place. And I will not boo him he is not worthy of that accolade.

Don't get that.

My question was : Should Elmander be played tomorrow ?

This move should not have been announced till after Sundays game he will now have to face the music I believe we were only offering a one year deal so it's fair for him to look elsewhere. done himself no favours letting it be known now. can't see point in playing him tomoz as most views won't be favourable.

he didn't let anything be known but lets not bring the truth into it

He could maybe have insisted in his pre-contract - no release of news till after his current Prem season finished. Or just not signed till Monday.

Anyway, what's done is done.

I wouldn't play him tomorrow if we can try something else in midfield (assuming KD & Sturridge are up front). Muamba & Gardner it is then.

He is a big soft tosser and I agree with you (for once)

If coyle plays him tomorrow I for one will boo him

He has stole a living

Yet, and I repeat... Noone has scored more in a season than him since Micael Ricketts.

Elmander is going to be a big loss next season unless we can bring in another 10+ goal a season player, which as we know isn't an easy thing to do.

I dont get all these people saying they are glad he has gone etc. I can see us missing him and struggling next season unless we find someone to score his goals.

Over the time with us he has been extremely poor and just one purple patch doesn't mean value - Sturridge has scored almost as many since Xmas

Elmander runs around the pitch a lot with no effect and cant remember a player who backs out of so many 50 50 challenges
