Members DazBob
Need some step by step recipes though. or suggestions of stuff to add in Honestly, and with no piss-taking here, I've had to learn to cook for myself recently and things like casseroles and stews are a piece of piss - far easier than I ever thought they'd be. As long as you've got meat, veg, stock cubes, salt and pepper then they're a piece of piss. As NB has said, just google "easy recipes" and you can't go wrong. jayjayoghani
Need some step by step recipes though. or suggestions of stuff to add in chilli for 2 to 3 1 large onion1lb lean minced beef 1/2 can tomato puree 1 can chopped tomatoes 1 can red kidney beans 2-3 teaspoons of chopped/crushed garlic (buy the ready mashed stuff) 1 stock cube paprika (for colour) 1/2 to 1 red pepper 1 piece of dark chocolate (maybe 1 square inch). The high cocoa stuff is best. 2 or 3 teaspoons of extra hot chilli powder - Chop the onion and fry it in oil on medium heat until caramelised (translucent/turning brown) - throw beef in and brown it - throw can of toms and can of beans in (undrained) - add tom puree, garlic, red pepper, stock cube and the rest of it - cook it with lid off until it has the desired consistency I have a v large cooking pot and cook enough for 5-6. eat a couple and freeze the rest best purchase I ever made

Crawley
First it's not buying your own undies, then it's not being able to cook. Blokes on this site are letting the side down. Risotto is always a good option as you can lob what you like in there and freeze for later use. Lamb shank is easy if you get a slow cooker. Use ours all the time. stevieb
Chilli 500g of minced beef 1 diced onion As much garlic as you can hack, crushed 2 cans of kidney beans 2 cans of chopped tomatoes 300ml of chicken stock half teaspoon of salt half teaspoon of pepper 1 teaspoon of chilli powder pinch of cayenne pepper pinch of cumin 30g of dark chocolate. Tasty as FUCK! Mushrooms and peppers Brown the beef in a frying pan over a medium-high heat. Remove the beef and set it aside in another pan or plate. Leave a some fat in the pan Sweat the onion and garlic in the fat but turn the heat down so it doesn?t brown (sweat is basically cook on a low heat until the onion softens) Whack the browned beef, onions and garlic, rinsed kidney beans, chopped tomatoes, chicken stock, spices and chocolate into a large deep pot, stir and let it simmer for an hour. Serve with rice. That makes me enough to eat at dinner for a week. You can freeze it or just bang it int fridge.
Site Supporter MickyD Posted October 5, 2011 Site Supporter Share Posted October 5, 2011 Micky's cooking tip. Egg Fried Rice is a piece of piss provided you don't put the egg into the rice. Always scramble the egg into the wok/pan and add the rice and other stuff.
