My garden looks like the gaza strip. It managed to move a packed away trampoline to other end of garden and ripped 3 fence panels to pieces. Im pretty sheltered and inland here too. The prom will be in tatters. Sounds like utd! Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Their storm supposedly: going to be worse there so get naming rights. All sounds a bit weird. A rough one all the same, with plenty if trees down. Quote

gonzo Posted December 22, 2023 Author Posted December 22, 2023 Killing me this wind. Absolutely exhausting. Match is fucked tomorrow. Be working xmas day at this rate. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Got up to the lodge with the first dog this morning, and it was quite calm. By the time I'd walked around to the other sides, the waves were the best part of a foot high! Back with another dog later, and just a gentle ripple. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 Is it ever going to get daylight today! That said, it's so mild, there were lots of birds singing when out with the hounds- resembled very early spring when things just start warming up. Quote
gonzo Posted December 24, 2023 Author Posted December 24, 2023 Its been windy for 4 days now. 50mph+ consistently. Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 (edited) No wind, clear blue sky and 70c plus in the day here but fires gone on now it’s a bit nippy at night. Edited December 24, 2023 by Mounts Kipper Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 😁 Joking apart; it was a seriously rough night. The damage in Stalybridge is quite a sight. Another storm coming through on Saturday/Sunday. My garden has never had standing water in areas it currently has. Quote

Makes me feel better as I’ve just got absolutely drenched again on my daily walk. Not sure how much more of this I can take before I’m off again. Cold isn’t an issue but constant driving rain is. Njoy 😎 Quote
