Lever Ender in L.A. Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Just had a flashback to that Plymouth game, it wasn't only bricks they were chucking at us, one fooooker was picking us off with an air rifle....ah that's why I made a hasty retreat........ Quote
calamarikav Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 (edited) Cannot remember what year but it was in the 90s we were in Blackburn town centre early doors with no trouble, then about 1 pm about 150 of us were walking across the town centre when a mob of equal size appeared in the distance we thought thats a tasty mob for Blackburn we bounced towards them and they bounced towards us as we both got closer it became apparent that the lad at the front of the other mob was no other than our 2 match left back from LH we all burst out laughing could not believe that we had 300 lads in 2 seperate mobs and none of us could locate a Blackburn mob.  i remember that but sure it was after the match.... anyway a load of bolton piled out of the swan pub and spotted another crew towards yates wine lodge at this time the side of debenhams was having a refurb so lots of lads picked up bits of scaffold and other building materials as weapons , next thing both sets were high fiving each other and became a big crew of 2/3 hundred ....police soon got involved and batoned a load of us back to the train station and put us on a train straight back to bolton i had to beg a copper to drop me off at darwen as it werent stopping thankfully they let me and my mates off.....there was a report in the lancashire evening telegraph on the monday irc  http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/archive/1996/02/05/Lancashire+Archive/6212431.Yuppie_yobs_on_rampage/ Edited December 6, 2012 by calamarikav Quote

jayjayoghani Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 http://www.lancashir...obs_on_rampage/ Â BOLTON soccer thugs used mobile phones to mastermind a rampage in Blackburn, the BEN can reveal today. The "yuppie yobs" Â Quote
Krimzon Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I seem to recall a Blackburn Bolton match that I went to where a Bolton fan was stabbed/severely done outside the aqueduct. Â Must have happened a few moments before I walked past (the wrong way as if I was a Blackburn fan) as a group of about 10 Bolton fans , who must have been his mates, squared up to me screaming You Blackburn Cunt ! I thought typical ! Im about to get kicked to fuck by fans of me own club. I think they must have seen the colour drain from me face cos they then just looked past me and went for a group of Rovers . After the game I was walking from the away end back into Blackburn when I was confronted by a group of Rovers fans screaming You Bolton Cunt at me. I was saved by the same group of Bolton fans who were about to kill me 90 minutes earlier ! Quote
Krimzon Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 i was in the darwen end (blackburn section) and got karate kicked in the head when shearer scored there second i wasnt best pleased as i wasnt expecting it.....the cowardly fucker and his friends soon toddled off when they realised they was surrounded by pockets of bolton everywhere! we also had lots in the upstairs section too!  best bolton mob ive seen tho was after the 2-2 draw away at burnley(93/94ish) and 2 train loads got off at accy then blackburn and proper took the piss.....AMAZING SCENES!!!  my locals landlady used to have the jubilee in blackburn and says bolton are by far the toughest mob that they have ever had the misfortune of dealing with in the 90s  We only need 9 men ??  The Jubilee used to be the busiest pub in Blackburn now its only open at weekends, Blackburns like a Ghost town now for drinking. big gal Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Blackburn away, on our return to the prem,95/96 season(shearer got a hat-trick i think )  I'd gone up to Ewood via a contact a few weeks before the game and purchased 52 tickets for their end.  We went up early on the train with huge numbers of Whites, trouble for some reason seemed to follow us all day long.  Once inside Ewood,we were adjacent to the away end,(i think we had half the upper and lower stands),they were giving it the usual ''oh wanky wanky''.......then when it quietened down, once of our group rose from his seat and started the old classic.........................''Bolton boys we are here,,,,whooahh,Bolton boys we are here whooahh'' The 50 of us were straight on our feet, half admittedly expecting a major backlash, but t our amazement and pleasant amusement the majority of their end rose to their feet and joined in the chant. Bolton were all over their end. I WAS AS PROUD AS FUCK TO BE A BOLTON FAN IN THEIR END THAT DAY. The clowns singing ''oh wanky wanky'' soon disappeared  we stayed in Blackburn all night, until we were herded onto the last train home.  I can honestly say, hand on heart, that no team has ever taken such liberties in Bolton,EVER Quote
big gal Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Is this the game we lost 3 1. Shearer hat trick? I was 15 and a few of us went on the bus. We got tickets in blackburn end too and being 15 we thought if we score don't cheer but half the bloody stand went up when we equalised. So we did too. Nobody said sod all. Great days. Think it was very cold this day too as we drank our cans on some canal near ground and it was frozen over. After daring each other to run across after lobBing bricks onto the ice like a nob i said I would try and I nearly went through. Pissed through up to the knees! Quote

bolty58 Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Loved reading this thread. Hard to believe but it was like this nearly every fucking week from about 68 til 75. Â Apart from getting a pint pot smashed on me forehead, stabbed in the shoulder with a big sliver of shop window glass and an unbelieveable shiner from Blackpool, came out of it reasonably unscathed (only one of those injuries is football related, other two Hells Angel and Rocker related).. Â Stll amazes me that there weren't more deaths related to FV and nightclub/town centre 'activities' in those days. Ferocious anarchy - completely fucking mental and Bolton was front and centre. Agree with the years 68 to 75. From the age 14 to 21 (ish) Then we all grew up! That's the thing about this thread. Most of the recollections, were when most of us were young and daft. (I've avoided recounting some of mine) That's the way it was in those days. The 'Yoof' of my day were just as daft as the 'Yoof' of today. We just had more style. Middle aged hooligans have issues. I think the big difference back then was the lack of 'Big Brother' monitoring and you'd often just get a slap from a copper and told to 'fcuk off and behave' rather than thrown in the van to assist someone's quota. Â I agree Bolty and with Boby Brno too, there was a bit of a punch up, a bit of toe to toe dancing, a lot of aggressive shouting, the cops would come and shove us away and make us move. That today would be cue for anarchy and violence and claims against the police Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 It's hard to understand what went on in the 70s 80s and 90s if you were not involved back then the world was a different place most who were between 12-30 years old grew up expecting to be involved or at least being near to a scrap at nearly every game, so to keep safe even lads who were not football hooligans would mob up with all sorts of lads for safety in numbers often you would bump into opposing fans mobbed up the same or being targeted by the police even though you were not necessarily going to the game for trouble we were all conditioned or case hardened to trouble now in 2012 most of us are dinosaurs but I know who I would like on my side if anything developed at the match even though most of us are close to pipe and slippers territory.
