White Shirt Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Holden update Someone is giving him a piggyback. Holden is laughing and smiling He's fine Quote
KP Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 (edited) I'm being attacked every time I try to input. Stop trying to hound me out guys. There's different grades of sprains. Until his scan no one knows how long he'll be out for and even that will be an approximate time. Your "I'm owed an apology" and profession to even be ITK about this is another attempt to turn a thread into being about you. But then you already knew that and you're fucking loving it. From an outside perspective, it's just grating now. Edited July 28, 2013 by KP Quote
anewman Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Dougie told him to fake injury so that gartside will buy a midfielder Quote
EyesRight Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Does anyone know if he celebrated on the pitch after the final whistle? I was waiting for someone to post that, it still gets me every time Quote
si2008 Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 limping bad when picking medal up not going to be ready for next week could be a couple of weeks before fit again Quote
Lever Ender in L.A. Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 yep limping bad but was gingerly jumping up and down during the celebrations on the podium....he seemed to be in good spirits, NBC reporting a scan in the morning, got some kind of black bandage on it, but the bandage doesn't look too heavy.....won't get any kind of update now as the Yanks are too busy flag waving and shouting "we're number one "..... Con Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Fucking fuck SkyBet Championship @SBChampionship_8m USA boss Jurgen Klinsmann says that Stuart Holden's injury looks to be serious, which could potentially leave him out for months. Quote
embankment Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Let's hope it not too bad. And that we have a very good plan B . Quote
Horwich Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 If its serious, why is he fucking around on the pitch being piggy backed? Quote

I didn't watch it, did anyone hear Klinsmann say that? That Twitter account isn't the official Championship account, just a shitty one from a random person. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Let's hope it not too bad. And that we have a very good plan B . While gutted about Holdens injury I don't think it makes a massive difference if we sign Spearing I'd sort of already thought get Holden back would be icing on the cake. Regarding Holden I said it last week he has to remodel his game this type of injury is happening again and again, he has to do less and use his brain pick the winnable challenges pick the lung bursting runs otherwise he's never going to get fit and keep fit. Good luck to him hope it's a 4-6 week lay off not 6-12 months. Quote
Eavesy Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 If we play 442. 6 central midfielders is more than enough to cover 2 positions. Pratley and medo to start. Vela and Andrews on the bench. Mark Davies back in the new year. Holden whenever. Bwfc can not afford to have more than 3 players per position. Also, we are never going to use any kids if our automatic response to an injury is sign someone quick. Quote
hughmungus Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 If he can get injured in a cosy friendly, how is he going to survive in the Championship this season. Think the time has come to cut our losses on Holden and look elsewhere fast Quote

Wullie Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I wish people would quote exactly what was said! Klinsmann said: "We are very concerned about Stuart's situation. It looks like a very serious injury, but I'm not a doctor and I can't confirm it." Former Germany striker Klinsmann added on ussoccer.com: "We'll get an MRI and he'll have all the tests done. Stu is a player that when something happens, he knows when something happens. Hopefully it's not as bad, but it's not looking good right now." Quote

I'm not even sure what the good cup is, but are you saying its on a par with the championship and the physical stuff that will be dished out in his direction, he is now an injury a game waiting to happen.
