bwfc87 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Its one thing or another with him,he should never have gone.Should have been running up and down winter hill with a back pack full of bricks to get fit.Boring me now is this Holden thing. Stupid comment imo, he went to get games and be ready for the start of the season. In the semi he came through 90 minutes playing on whats been described as a concrete pitch. I thought our/ and his luck with injuries was changing. If it is serious then I'll be gutted for him but we don't know anything for definate yet Quote
MalcolmW Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I'm not even sure what the good cup is, but are you saying its on a par with the championship and the physical stuff that will be dished out in his direction, he is now an injury a game waiting to happen. The good cup is the championship for Central American and North American countries (equivalent to the Euro championship, but obviously a lower standard, since USA and Mexico are usually dominant). So, outside of the World Cup, it is the highest regular competition for USA and thus of considerable importance to their players. Quote
hughmungus Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) So it was Carling Cup level at best, my point is that if he can't last for a game a couple of games and a bit in this comp what chance has he with a full season in the championship.Time for DF to think about serious alternatives. BOWTUN BAKED Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Our new Munich recruit had the balls to proffer that the Evans tackle was 50/50 Knack his knee. If he calls the dibble, your defense will be 'Well, it was 50/50" Quote

hughmungus Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I stand corrected frank it was a couple of games and a bit. but I think you can see the point i'm making. That was Coyles problem, he had put so much faith in him that when he got crocked he had no-one to replace him and that contributed to the slide down the shitty slope. It would be barmy for DF to do the same thing. But who knows he will hopefully come back and be a world beater after a couple of games. Quote

Rembrandt Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Bad sad news. Feel desperately sorry for the lad. Hope it's not as serious as Klinsmann suspects. BUT ....... it's the piece of news we surely all thought could well turn up, and sooner rather than later. I can't imagine DF was basing this season's plans on Holden coming back as good as he used to be (which DF doesn't know much about anyway). It was always going to be a great bonus if it happened. Ani Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Or not allowed to apparently Do you think we have some bags of money just lying about ? Or should we put it on a credit card ? Quote

L/H White Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 @OfficialBWFC: Freedman: "I spoke to Stuart Holden at 2am this morning. He's going to have a scan at 9pm our time and then we'll find out more." #BWFC Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Had he signed his new deal? Would we do the dirty if not and he is badly done? If SJM goes coaching at Wigan as someone said no loyalty in football?? I know that is low and will rub a fair few up the wrong way but just wondered not necessarily my opinion Quote
Walkden26 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Gutted this has happened but we have been without for 2 and a half years and it's not like it will have the same impact as when it first happened. The team has had to adapt without him in this time and I reckon Medo is going to step up this season and be the man we need in the middle. Quote
