When Andrews gets the ball he rolls himself free of a marker nicely (like Cesc) but as no ability to go forward, it was side passes to Baptiste and Tierney ,only time he did go forward was hopeful diagonal balls to Beckford, were as Medo was playing forward ground through balls. Pratley was trying his best to link well on the right side trying to get in round the corner, but I would have liked to have seen us put on pace and take off Andrews.

after some of the awful full backs weve had of late, i'll take solid but unspectacular at the moment in that area!

the centre backs always terrify me, look shaky all the time

1-1.

I dreamt it last night.

Hope you all lumped on this. I'll have the Lotto numbers later.

Probably about right. Burnley shaded first half, we finished strongly. Positives full backs very good, eagles, prately, medo played well. The whole centre spine needs addressing, Andrews poor, wheatear and knight look vulnerable to pace both very similar. Miss spearing and Dawson. Reckon Dougie knows this and will address as priority

Thought that was a poor performance football wise, one player that looks a class act is Medo.

Incisive passing, eye for a shot and very good at pressing and using his strength.

Full backs looked OK, Pratley, Medo and Eagles best on the pitch.

Not sure about Beckford; hope he opens his account in the next game.

Well Shrewsbury next - lets hope we bury them

Most of the players don't look match fit yet, and no doubt we'll improve. I considering this a really good point considering we didn't play all that well.

Did you just compare Andrews to Fabregas?

Oh, and don't "first name" players, it makes you look a twat.

didn't create enough chances though.

The goal and Craig Davies's long strike and that was it. We were unlucky a couple of times when the ball didn't fall our way in the scrambles, Beckford and Wheater were close to getting to it.

They didn't have much either, silly goal from our point of view and they were shooting from range a lot and putting them over the bar.

Defence ok but Knight and Wheater ain't a partnership. Andrews didn't show enough, but happy with rest of midfield. Beckford promising. By the end of August we'll be stronger as a squad. Expect a couple more signings (Spearing and ,of course, Dawson). Bottom line is that if we get those two in I'll be pleased as punch.

Meanwhile, a point at Burnley will do me very nicely thank you.

Also, in all my years of gambling I've never been as surprised to win a bet as my first goal scorer bet on Pratters today. Backed him at 23 on Betfair and the bookies have paid out because the first goal was down as a Wheater own goal. What a load of bollocks.

I thought Beckford worked hard. Most goalscorers are lazy but Beckford put himself about well and made space for others.

Andrews is wank.

Both knight and wheater have to take some blame for that goal. Knight should have won the header and wheater was clumsy. To be fair it was a fortunate finish.

We didn't create enough to win but we controlled most if the game so positive result for me.

The turn motion yes I did, nothing else, and if you think someone's a twat for saying a players first name (which isn't actually just cesc) then what do you call murderers etc?

Still think our biggest problem is Bogdan.  The centre halves are 5-10 yards deeper than they should be.  They played that 5-10 higher when Lonergan had his run in the team and we looked a much better team.

Pleased today, nice to see a solid side and we got what we went for.

Spearing and Dawson, we finish top 4.

Add Rhodes and play Lonergan..... we win the league.

They have to play deeper , they are both slow as fuck. Wheater and knight playing a high line would be suicide.

I'll take a point from that game quite happily. DF teams get on a roll over time. He's a progressive Manager and that'll do me. Surprised how much space both full backs gave to their wingers. Can only assume that was ordered by the Manager. Anybody pointing a finger at Bogdan today doesn't understand the game. Beckford ran the channels well but little service.

Negatives: Bogdan is a liability. Wheater's lack of pace will be targeted by opposing fast men. Shout it from the rooftops, Keith Andrew is very, very poor. He's depriving someone a place.

Positives: Baptiste looks classy. Tierney looked good. Medo quality. Pratley everywhere took his goal well.

I'm told in Dougie we trust so team should be improved before transfer window shuts. I'm optimistic about Beckford but he's not the type of striker to play up top alone. Expected to see Hall at some stage.

Dawson and Spearing please?

It's good to be back!

:glare:

Well, for one I'd never call a "murderer" a twat.

Twat is reserved for hipsters, emos, and people who call sportsmen by their first names or acronyms (like CR7 for example).

You fall into the last category. Hence, you're a twat.

Not a terrible point, impressed with Baptiste and Pratley, Beckford promising but first touch let him down on occasion. No need for doom and gloom yet
