bolton_blondie Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 If your at Trafford centre try Las Iguanas, it's a chain restaurant but a better one. Quote
bolton_blondie Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Oh and they have 1/2 price cocktails! Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Anyhow, I've just got myself a Carr's pasty for lunch, so I'm happy Not sure if I should admit this on here, but my first ever Carr's pasty was only last Thursday. Meat pie wasn't a patch on Dawson's but the cheese and onion pasty on a barm was well worth the hype. Quote
Sweep Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I love a Carrs pasty, I've probably not had one in 20 years though Quote
no balls Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I love a Carrs pasty, I've probably not had one in 20 years though Would you like me to send you a box full down? Quote
Sweep Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Would you like me to send you a box full down? I should really pick some up myself when next in Bolton, do they still have that shop on Manchester Road? Quote
no balls Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I should really pick some up myself when next in Bolton, do they still have that shop on Manchester Road? Not a clue, today I picked one up from a shop in Adlington. I've used the Halliwell Road ghetto one before now and of course, the Man & Scythe Quote
mannyroad58 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I should really pick some up myself when next in Bolton, do they still have that shop on Manchester Road? Yes they have 2 pasty's and a potion of mushy peas is my favourite Quote
Ani Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Subway did not mind till I got food poisoning never again. Nandi is ok to pop in before the pictures miles better than frankly and Benny's. Chiquitios on the reebok is to be avoided on match days. I think they add £1 onto the price of pint to keep football lot out. It is terrible avoid at all costs. Quote
Not in Crawley Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I've made the switch from Carrs to Hunters. Mum and Dad are bringing down a load at half term. Lovely stuff. Today though I'm having to keep myself going with left over gnocchi. Quote
L/H White Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I love Nando's and always get good portions of chicken Quote
Kane57 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 If your at Trafford centre try Las Iguanas, it's a chain restaurant but a better one. Their goat curry is superb Quote

I read it like that too but you need a bath after walking past never mind feeding my loved ones chicken nuggets from there Quote
Bigtoe Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Can't beat a mixed grill kebab from rice n three. 4.50. They should open up at middlebrook. Chiquitos is shite, Nandos okay but dear for what it is. Never bother with these chain places unless I have no choice. Quote
HomerJay Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I'm going to be a snob and say I'm not a fan of all these chain, shopping centre, cinema based places; actually that's a lie, I don't mind Strada, but there are better independent eats (or even some other chain places) that cost you the same as these over the counter, plastic tasting crap. And they are usually better if you have kids. I'd rather eat at home. And as for folk who eat subways - you really need to give your head a shake, expensive, tastless (or rather oddly sweet) pap. I agree Prefer a proper old country pub. Or even a new gastro pub if it's not too pretentious. Went to Charnock farm near me a couple of weeks ago. fantastic grub, not stupidly priced and didn't feel like a cattle market. Quote
Not in Crawley Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Dominos - there's another one. How the hell do they get away with charging the earth for Pizza that's as thick as the earth crust and completely tasteless? My favourite is a place called Tossed (oh, how they must have had a giggle coming up with that name) that serves - you guessed it salad. But this isn't any salad, it's a £10 takeaway salad with bits of chicken in. And Yog - serves frozen yogurt with bits of Oreo or dried fruit for £5 Bubbledog - a place in Fitzrovia that serves hotdogs and champagne (the giddy mix of down rent food and high living alcohol for those who work in meeeedya) £6 for just a nothing on it hotdog and £6 per glass of house bubbly. Another on a bubble theme - Bubbleology! Buy a bubbly fruit tea! Receive not much change from £4 in return! In fact I'm never eating out again. Quote
