L/H White Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014  "I felt towards the end of the game and into extra time there was only one team who was going to win it with our superior possession, energy and fitness levels. “Jermaine Beckford is a goalscorer, and he has the ability to score goals – that is why I brought him to the football club and he’s produced two wonderful finishes tonight. Naytch Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Freedman is a prick. 2 years to put together a team and he's produced a shambles like that, absolutely dire. No desire, no leadership, no effort and no managerial skills at all. Quote
Rembrandt Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 (edited) Didn't go last night, so can't comment. But a cautious line-up, and tactics seemingly based on less-possession football in order to defend, which has lead to 13 goals conceded in 6 games plus 2 extra-times - tells its own story of this opening spell to the season. I see no signs for optimism from the performances I've seen and the comments of those (including the Bolton News) who've seen the other matches. And for DF to talk the way he does makes him sound certifiable. Edited August 27, 2014 by Rembrandt Quote
Ani Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 A lot of this comes down to confidence, if we win a couple then player start wanting the ball and things begin to flow, the game is therefore played with more possession which pushed us up the pitch and then every mistake does not mean a goal. The worrying thing is that with fans turning and a lack of leadership on the pitch (or from the sidelines) it is hard to see the wins coming. (To be clear not blaming the fans but it is a factor) Leeds are in a similar position but with probably more shit than even us going on, so Saturday does actually have some potential for us. I hinestly do not think since Wigan away when OC dropped Muamba that we have had a manager who has known his best team and stuck with it. I aint got a clue what formation/system/prayer meeting DF is relying on. Quote

Looking at the teams left in theres a few long trips. Wouldn't mind Bradford away if they can sneak past Leeds. Quote
