Better a cup run than not, but DF's team selections & tactics have even SJM baffled.

Anyway, onwards & ..................... whatever.

And much though I dislike MKD, you gotta applaud them tonight. On the day of ManU's record signing too.  You couldn't make it up.    :yahoo:

We were worse tonight than against Bury.

The first half an hour is probably the worst I've ever seen. If we'd been 3 or 4 down we couldn't have complained.

No doubt Freedman will put a positive spin on it and say we showed character. Truth is we were lucky against a poor side.

I find it staggering just how poor we are at getting the ball and then keeping it. There just seems to be a reluctance to keep it on the deck and for players to show for it.

We're fucking dreadful.

Marginally less possession than crewe and they had 21 shots we had 11 not good against a team who've lost 4 in the league.

I actually felt sorry for Threlkeld tonight. He was dry bummed time and time again to within an inch of his life in that first half.

I'm not one for writing youngsters off, but on the back of his performance against Bury, it's safe to say he's nowhere near ready to stake a claim for a regular spot.

Saw them equalise and then I had to dart for the last train back to London.

Gutted I missed the winner but glad we got there in the end.

A lot of nobs in our end tonight, support the team. Booing after 10 minutes is just rediculous

Just back. Got to be worst Bolton side I've seen since Bruce Rioch first arrived. Didn't think it was as bad as against Bury but not much in it and that's no praise at all. No point in chanting Freedman out after 10 mins but he makes it easy for them. Pretty abysmal all told, Crewe are not a good side but we made them look it

I was glad I hadn't gone when I heard DF on BBC Manc about 7:15pm saying (I paraphrase) : 'We have to be more ruthless when we take the lead, like we were towards the end of last season'.

Erm, final game, Whites 2 Brum 2 ........... after we'd been leading 2-0. 'Nuff said.
