marple whites Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 He frightened me to death when tackling in the box. Don't think we will miss him. Quote
Ghana White Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Guff. I don't understand what you're arguing? He was played out of position and he was blamed by the manager for a lost? You're argument has nothing to do with these facts Quote
tomski Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 He was shit in each position he played. Freedman fell out with him. Oh well, he also fell out with Eagles and Mears. From the outside it looks like he's weeding the shit out. I have no issues with managers making mistakes with signings as long as they learn from them. Today has been a good day dealings wise. Quote
Casino Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 dunno if its obvious but i'm happy to see the freedman plan play out i can still have some sympathy for baptiste he was ok at right back struggled at left back mcnaughton is a proper mon another one happy to come back to play for freedman now, it might be we pay over the odds, but he seems to have little trouble signing his ex players for somebody that players dont like i have heard tierney isnt a fan, mind Quote
Casino Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 and ghanas just worried his beloved boro are losing the juke Quote

Isn't that what's been said about Feeney? Quote

And what Tomski said too. Quote
Garrp Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 no proof or anything but i wouldn't be surprised if the supposed baptiste/freedman rift started back before he actually signed remember him signing, then changing his mind to go palace with holloway but still ended up coming to us Quote
Casino Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 details half a story harry just something i was told by somebody well connected in local non league football he probably knows marc or his brother or somebody they know i cant see it as hes only played half a dozen games Quote

If he was fit and warming the bench i could see it. Quote
Rembrandt Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Thought I saw Baptiste get on my flight back this afternoon - seemed mysterious. Now I know. Quote
SUMiXAM Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Maximus saw this coming surely? I don't know about every transfer, I'm only human Quote
Biggish Dave Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I'm quite happy to lose Baptiste, didn't rate him as any better than Ricketts. Happy enough if we get McNaughton back. Desperately need 1 and almost certainly 2 new strikers either on loan or permanently but if we do get these, it's job well done for Dougle Quote
jules_darby Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 just something i was told by somebody well connected in local non league football he probably knows marc or his brother or somebody they know i cant see it as hes only played half a dozen games Don't know about Freedman per se but I have it on good authority that mad Marc is very happy at the club generally Do we know how much of Baptiste's wages Blackburn are actually paying? I can only assume we sent them a YouTube of his goals last season because of they saw him try to tackle they may not be so keen. At left back or not Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 (edited) I think there's a player in Baptiste at the beginning of last season he was bombing up and down the pitch like a mad man joining in with every attack I think if he'd have been more selective about his attacking runs his defensive play wouldn't have suffered so much basically he was goosed, then Freedman with a wonderful piece of management put him on the wrong side against Wigans best player who ripped him to shreds then to compound it saw fit to rip in to him in the press. From that moment on Baptiste was on borrowed time at the club. Got a feeling he will do well at Rovers. Edited July 12, 2014 by Mounts Kipper Quote
tomski Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I hope he does well at blackburn, means we can charge more next summer. Win win. Quote
Whites man Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Better him at Blackburn with them chipping in than training with the kids at Lostock with us paying his full wage like Mears last season. Quote
Zico Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Or like with us and juketvicz they hold out to get him on the cheap knowing we don't want him Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Better him at Blackburn with them chipping in than training with the kids at Lostock with us paying his full wage like Mears last season. Spot on. Plus he will also make them a shitter team in the process. Win win. Quote
