wiggy Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Well at the beginning of the season we were 16-1 to go down. We are now 3-1 fourth favourites for the drop. Can't believe I didn't get some of that 16-1. We might not go down but those odds were just plain wrong. Quote
no balls Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Yesterday was grim as fuck & I can sense the moodiness descending like a fog around the ground. It's starting to feel rather Maryspunksonesque. Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 As we know in this league, string a few wins together & you can fly up the league. Â Problem is, I can't see where the first win is likely to come from, let alone a few wins. Â Whilst we continue to pick a side & tactics were the plan is not to lose, we certainly won't win! Â The stats in every game tell there own story, less possession, considerably less chances on goal, considerably less on target, higher play percentages in our own third of the pitch. No-one will consistently win matches like this. Â We're making poor sides look good. Â This man is taking us in one direction & I'm now convinced that is down. Â He's beyond the point of return, he's either too clueless, too stubborn or too scared to make the correct decisions to stop these stupid tactics, these stupid tinkerings, this stupid 'apprenticeship'. Garrp Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 This is my worry. Not one other person in the ground would describe it like that  Aye, it's what worries me.  I understand the need to stay positive but is he just doing that or is he really unaware just how badly we are playing. Quote
zurichwhite Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Is Lennie Lawrence still alive or have they stuffed him and left him in the comfy seats? Quote
tomski Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Aye, it's what worries me. Â I understand the need to stay positive but is he just doing that or is he really unaware just how badly we are playing. See I would of happily trudged that out until recently. I think we sadly know the answer Quote
Guest Blixa Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I would wonder who we would get in if we let him go (not that it's an excuse not for letting him go). Â None of the ex-Prem sackings of late would come here as they'll be waiting for something better (and have cash in the bank to wait). Promoting from within (Jimmy Phillips etc) would work for a couple of weeks, but not the entire season. Would also leave us without a youth setup. Â Which leaves the long term out of work / out of touch or risking a young manager. A bit like last time. That could go either way, but more likely badly - the idea of a Flitcroft in charge makes Dougie and Megson seem appealing! Â That's probably what is going through Eddie Davies' mind along with the idea of sacking. You need a decent plan B in place. That's the hard bit, because unless you are Leeds, you can't hire and fire week in, week out. Quote
jules_darby Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 I'd sooner have Casino in charge with Didles as his number two right now  Nobody could get this collection of players performing worse Quote
Plums Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I wouldn't worry his master stroke is about to come. Moxey on the right and fat frank ( who's always hungry ) on the left. Quote
bgoefc Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 My pre season prediction of 21st is looking somewhat forlorn. I fear a couple of dispiriting defeats against the buckets is on the agenda next season. Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I'd have Phil Brown in a heartbeat. So would I defo Quote
captainmed Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Everyone on the terraces has lost the will to get angry. Â Yesterday was so poor it was almost laughable..... Quote
jules_darby Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 Everyone on the terraces has lost the will to get angry.  Yesterday was so poor it was almost laughable..... aye That's when it's really bad  I asked Gumbo if there was much anti-Freedman feeling and he said nobody could be arsed  It's a poor do Quote
tarian1979 Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 yes, im struggling to see three we'll confidently come above. The promoted clubs are started well, shite like charlton and millwall doing ok. Quote

Guest Blixa Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 This would be the same Phil Brown whose Southend side won for the first time in ages yesterday? Â *mind boggles* Quote
worthy10 Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 When freedman was selected to take over, he had a squad of players that should have got a play off place at least. Due to financial constraints and declining leage positions most of those players have left. So, the argument that he has no money or poor quality players is flawed. He is a very poor football manager and BWFC have been the proof of that for over two years. This website is awash wish articulate, reasoned points as to why we have suffered enough. I really fear that we may yet have to fall further before positive action is taken. It's sad, I love my club. Quote
mickbrown Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 This would be the same Phil Brown whose Southend side won for the first time in ages yesterday? Â *mind boggles* Â Southend won a game? Â Can you remember what that feels like? Quote
gonzo Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 This would be the same Phil Brown whose Southend side won for the first time in ages yesterday? Â *mind boggles* The same Phil Brown who got hull promoted and kept them up? Â Can we have your suggestions then?? Quote
Guest Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Southend won a game?  Can you remember what that feels like?   Not really  Looking at the stats the last win I saw was on 12 April, 1-0 against Barnsley. Can't remember it at all. Quote
