gonzo Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Didn't we have Dean and David Holdsworth at one point? Or had Dean left? Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Not sure. Anyway-Foden just been interviewed briefly on Sky and they asked him about Hatton. He seemed OK in himself, which is good. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 What the fuckery was that madness at the end by the Burnley defender? Not sure why Parker seemed animated with the ref at the end. Quote
masi 51 Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Mcguire and Shaw playing a high line against Haarland............Comedy gold Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 If you give the ball away in defence like that, then it doesn't matter where your line is. City are so comfortable, and picking them off. Quote
deeane Koontz Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Comical defending that 🤣 Haaland still as lethal as ever Amorim's fixation with that one formation will get him sacked soon enough Quote
masi 51 Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Keeping Mcguire and Shaw on the halfway line is quite amusing to watch Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 I thought Neville's comment was telling: "I don't feel anything". It's as if mediocrity has become accepted, and expectation washed away. Quite amusing. Quote

MancWanderer Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 That was an absolutely shite game United look like a team that will finish just above the relegation spots. For those of an age it now genuinely has a whiff of that team that got relegated in the 70s. Some decent players but not a team that look like they can win any game at all City were flattered by just how shit United were. Put that City performance against a decent team and they get beaten. They wont finish above the scousers or Arsenal this year Quote
gonzo Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Haaland looked ridiculous tbf. Absolute beast and looks back to his best. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 Utd's front line will do some damage this season. Mbuemo had several chances, and had he bagged, then who knows. Rodri looked buggered when he went off and Silva is perhaps slowing down a bit. City's attacking players still do their defensive work well- closing down quickly out of possession. That said, they have to, as they don't use what we may consider typical, dynamic midfielders, Reijnders excepted perhaps. That may cost them when they come under pressure from stronger, better teams. Surely they will set up differently against Arsenal for example. Quote
