germany brazil final

argentina and one other in the semi

There are better unseeded teams than some that are seeded so the likes of Brazil, Spain, Germany, Argentina etc could be in a really difficult group.

Gibraltar played for the first time in a friendly last night after joining UEFA. Held Slovakia to a 0-0 draw, excellent result for them.

Already puts them above Scotland in the rankings I'd imagine

I think that they're my second national team

Mid table aren't they?

All down to them losing to local rivals Grimsby according to talksport.

I never knew they were rivals till I heard that.

Jordan managed a 0-0 draw in Uruguay, but their 5 goal loss at home in the first leg leaves Uruguay as qualifiers.

Note that Uruguay won the first World Cup AND the first World Cup held in Brazil.

They now aspire to win the first World Cup Final held in Brazil.

Whilst we're talking about incredibly dull facts about Uruguay that nobody gives a toss about...what about this one.

Uruguay remained undefeated in matches at the World Cup Finals from the very first game they played on 18th July 1930 in their own country until they lost in extra time to Hungary in the semi-finals on June 30th in the 1954 Finals that were held in Switzerland. Proper dull fact!

The fact that they didn't bother to enter in '34 and '38 clearly helps though...

You are absolutely spot on.

Colombia at 25/1 might be tempting for an each way bet (or whatever it is where they get to the semis)

Good bet that, I rate them but probably not enough to win it, ace couple of strikers and really solid from back to front. Only Pele tips Columbia to win World Cups though.

Depending on how Platini's draw pans out next month, i would not at all be surprised to see 3 south americans and France in the semi finals

Did your mum never tell you off for doing something stupid just because somebody else (usually Spaznob) had already done it?
