Take Hunt Off Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Does this lack of transfer activity put us back in the Administration frame ? Quote
cbwfcd Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I hope Mavies doesn't get crocked now. 18 months wages @ 69K =£1.2+ million, ouch! Don't clubs have insurance against things like that? Quote
barryk32 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Looks like Medo is finally fucking off. Quote
Anderson Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Does this lack of transfer activity put us back in the Administration frame ? We needed transfer activity to go into admin, that lack of would suggest something else is happening. Quote

Eavesy Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Be brilliant if his tweet did contain the phrase 'is he taking the piss' Quote
superkev Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I'm guessing he must have had clauses in his contract not to be involved at all for all this time. Either that or he was pure shit Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Be brilliant if his tweet did contain the phrase 'is he taking the piss' Nice to see humour alive and well on WWs.???? Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Never given a chance by Lennon .Under Freedman he was operating with two other square passers.Thought he had a bit more to his game than Spearing but heyho water under the bridge .Don't remember him not putting the effort in although he did drop a few bollocks. ..no malice to the lad however. Quote
Horwich Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I will add that it wasnt his fault he was on such a high wage Quote
Anderson Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I quite liked him, always put himself about, played with heart and never once looked uninterested. Sure his passing was shite but he was tenacious and had a decent strike on him, think he could have offered something had he been given the chance to but whoever negotiated his contract made that impossible. Blondi Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Lennon will be complaining that he's got a shortage of central midfielders in a bit. Quote
Dr Faustus Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 He always seemed a nice, pleasant, god fearing chap. Wish him well Quote
Guest Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 If he has done what was riumoured, then he can fuck right off for me Until he scores on saturday Quote

HomerJay Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 So mavies wouldn't take a paycut. And considering the fee was 750k is that the amount short he would be over 3 years? I wonder if you lot would sacrifice 250k a year... Even if he was on 750k a year, it's a third of his salary. Folk really have false expectations of players. I'd even say clough isn't staying to save bolton, he'd help more by leaving. He is staYong because he doesn't fancy Bristol. As soon as a big club comes, he's gone. Quote

Moving so far from home for such a small step up in club expectations is what's stopped clough moving and nothing else in my opinion. He'd be off like a shot to a promotion chasing side. Don't blame the lad, just as I don't blame md for not wanting to be so much down on his salary. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Do you really know that about Clough? True at some point he will probably go, but maybe the kid does actually have an affinity for the club. He's been here half his life, and remembering his gran's (I think it was) comments on the radio last year, he seems to be from a down to earth supportive family. It is possible he does want to stay. As for helping more by leaving, well we're entitled to opinions, but to me that's utter crap. Just hope he actually reads supportive stuff not that of cynics. Quote
frank_spencer Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 His affinity for the club probably was part of his decision to stay, but I still think had it been a promotion chasing side he'd have gone. And I wouldn't blame him one bit, I've had jobs I've enjoyed, working with people I've liked and at a company that has treated me well. I knew that in order to advance myself I had to leave and go on to bigger things. I'm sure we all have had similar situations and being a footballer is no different Quote
1969 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Cynics or bang on the money realists? Or complete depressives Quote
