Does this lack of transfer activity put us back in the Administration frame ?

We needed transfer activity to go into admin, that lack of would suggest something else is happening.

Never given a chance by Lennon .Under Freedman he was operating with two other square passers.Thought he had a bit more to his game than Spearing but heyho water under the bridge .Don't remember him not putting the effort in although he did drop a few bollocks. ..no malice to the lad however.

I quite liked him, always put himself about, played with heart and never once looked uninterested. Sure his passing was shite but he was tenacious and had a decent strike on him, think he could have offered something had he been given the chance to but whoever negotiated his contract made that impossible.

So mavies wouldn't take a paycut. And considering the fee was 750k is that the amount short he would be over 3 years?

I wonder if you lot would sacrifice 250k a year...

Even if he was on 750k a year, it's a third of his salary.

Folk really have false expectations of players.

I'd even say clough isn't staying to save bolton, he'd help more by leaving. He is staYong because he doesn't fancy Bristol.

As soon as a big club comes, he's gone.

Moving so far from home for such a small step up in club expectations is what's stopped clough moving and nothing else in my opinion.

He'd be off like a shot to a promotion chasing side.

Don't blame the lad, just as I don't blame md for not wanting to be so much down on his salary.

Do you really know that about Clough?

True at some point he will probably go, but maybe the kid does actually have an affinity for the club. He's been here half his life, and remembering his gran's (I think it was) comments on the radio last year, he seems to be from a down to earth supportive family. It is possible he does want to stay.

As for helping more by leaving, well we're entitled to opinions, but to me that's utter crap. Just hope he actually reads supportive stuff not that of cynics.

His affinity for the club probably was part of his decision to stay, but I still think had it been a promotion chasing side he'd have gone.

And I wouldn't blame him one bit, I've had jobs I've enjoyed, working with people I've liked and at a company that has treated me well. I knew that in order to advance myself I had to leave and go on to bigger things. I'm sure we all have had similar situations and being a footballer is no different
