Horwich Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 £14k for the keeper I wonder how much we could of got jussi for? Give him the chance to work with his son everyday Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Folk on here had a pop at me on here for suggesting Amos had signed for more than 10k a week. Quote

gonzo Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 So because its in the Sun, Its 100% correct, fuck me whats as the world come to Ah yes nearly forgot the rule on here that we have to dispute and dispel any information whatsoever written on the club on every single media source. Everything is bollocks. Quote
Zico Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Ah yes nearly forgot the rule on here that we have to dispute and dispel any information whatsoever written on the club on every single media source. Everything is bollocks. Yep you do thst so that you can suggest nobody does or will ever know what's going on, live in ignorance and knock anyone who chooses to beleive anything Just because it's in the sun doesn't mean some of those are pretty accurate and based on other bits of info have heard over past few seasons it would seem to fit If you ado them all up do and then do an average for the rest of the squad is it close to the £1m or whatever it is we need to pay out in wages each month? Farrelli Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Amos 14K, Pratley 16K and Derik 10K, Madine 8K, Heskey 7K. Total 55K per week and all deals done in the Summer, more than enough money for two good forwards there. Quote
Morizio Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 If those figures are right which I don't believe they will be, what were the salaries before we cut costs. Fucking bullshit. Quote
darrener Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 The sun reported that tamaraz had bought the club the other week Quote
Eavesy Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 If we sold a player for £5m that's £96k a week. Which covers the majority of that list for a whole year. Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Amos 14K, Pratley 16K and Derik 10K, Madine 8K, Heskey 7K. Total 55K per week and all deals done in the Summer, more than enough money for two good forwards there. And 3-4 out of those 5 play week-in-week-out and so couldn't have been replaced without negatively impacting the team. What exactly is the point you're trying to make here? Quote
Winchester White Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Why does everyone use weekly salaries for footballers when everyone else uses yearly or monthly figures? Oh and if those amounts are being paid out no wonder we are in the shite. Quote
Walkden White Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Got to admit that list is worrying IF true and to be honest the only real surprises are Liam Feeney, Liam Trotter and Ben Amos. Doesn't bode well for next season as anyone taking over would effectively be gambling that we could shift the majority of those whose contracts aren't expiring and we all know how difficult that has been. Makes it look like Admin is the only real option. Quote
Con Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I just wish this whole, sorry saga would come to an end. Sick to death of the speculation, rumour, conjecture etcetera,. Yes, its a lot of money they are all on for a piss poor return, but Holdsworth and his merry band of charlatans reckon they are good for it, if they are lets crack on and give them a go, if not lets take the medicine and go in admin. I just want a club to support, and just be able to moan about how shit we are on the field, not who is on what, who can afford to pay what and who is in control. The whole thing has just become so fucking tedious. Quote

Sweep Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 And 3-4 out of those 5 play week-in-week-out and so couldn't have been replaced without negatively impacting the team. We wouldn't want a negative impact on the team would we Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Quite a few of the high earners leave this summer if guess next years wage bill be in region of 7-8 million still more than we earn but after 1 year it will look a lot rosier well below 5 million wage bill, don't think it's that bad, shortfall of about 5 million year 1 and couple of million year 2. 10 million should cover shortfall for rest of this season and next season, if club costing nothing and SS can't fund that loss might as well go to admin. Quote

It's a frightening thought that we might still have a wage bill of around £7M~£8M next season, especially when that may well be significantly more than we will be bringing home in terms of gate receipts - I'm not sure how much our other revenue streams generate, hopefully a decent amount. Whoever comes in will of course know they're running at a loss for a couple of years, there is no way around that.......unless we bite the bullet and enter administration and then cancel all the contracts and start again. We must be coming very close to the point where we can enter administration without it affecting next season though Quote

leebwfc Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Whether these wages are correct or not, surely SS have been aware and are planning accordingly, other wise what the fuck have they been talking about for the last 6 months. Deano's first day reading his emails and shouts "Mark Davies is on aaar fakin mach?" Whatever they get paid is roo fkin much as far as Im concerned considering the way they have applied themselves this season and the past few before. Quote
Guest GudniB Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Who did we last sell for £5m I doubt the money generated in the last 4 years comes to £5m Cash generated from player sales in the last four years published figures (i.e. to 30 June 2014) is £14.8 million. Most of its in 2011/12 & includes Cahill, Al Habsi, Matt Taylor & Danny Ward Quote

We must be coming very close to the point where we can enter administration without it affecting next season though Don't forget the non footballing costs of £10m a year Even if you work miracles and half it to £5m you're still needing to find £12m+ total Ticket revenue will be about £3m tops so you have a £750k a month hole and that's before you've signed the desperately needed striker Deano will need to find another £7m+ to get to the end of next season without adding anything at all If he gets the all clear that is Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 We're forgetting the 'football preferential' in administration too. If we go into Admin, the players will get paid in full anyway. Unless we come to an agreement. See Ben Tal Haim at Portsmouth. Still paying him years after he'd left. Quote
