famouswanderer Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Madine Heskey and Ameobi all to start, this dynamic strike force will rip leeds apart. Quote
Eddie Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) O my God I'm agreeing with Kent again! Funny how people see a different game but for me Derik didn't know where the hell Gray was most of the time and Donaldson was 'dealt' with more by Wheater & Dervite. He was worse than Vela in that position for me and that's the benchmark I'm using at moment. Wouldn't like to see him at full back in a hurry I thought Derik was poor on Saturday. He just isn't a right back, defensively his positional play was poor but more importantly he hung Feeney out to dry. Admittedly Feeney didn't have a great game but in the 1st half Derik would give him the ball and then just leave him to it against 2 or 3 players, he had no interest in an overlap. After about 55 mins he lost all discipline and went shit or bust, he'd go flying up the wing but then have no interest in trying to get back leaving other people to cover for him. I'd have Wilson there personally, he's no world beater but he's our best option IMO. Also with the defence I don't think you can play Wheater and Dervite together, they are so similar and so slow. Prince might have the odd dodgy moment in him but he's got the pace to recover. I am impressed with Casado from what I've seen of him. Maybe a bit rash but I don't mind that, he's very good on the ball too. Wilson Prince Wheater Casado will do for me Edited October 23, 2015 by Eddie Quote
kent_white Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 My first choice back four would be Moxey Dervite Derik Vela Dervite is solid and while he's not as strong in the air as Wheater he's also nowhere near as slow. Derik is rapid and having a pacey centre back is necessary in the Championship nowadays. Last season - I thought Vela gave us an extra dimension going forward that I've not seen from any of our full backs since. He was prone to the odd error of judgement - but so has every right back we've played in that position since. I like Prince - but he's as error prone as Zat Knight. He's going to improve that aspect of his game hopefully. Wilson is a square peg in a square hole - but not much else from what I can see. The two new lads - I haven't seen enough of to make a judgement. As Moxey is crocked I'd be starting with Casado again tomorrow. Quote
EyesRight Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Amos Vela Dervite Prince Moxey Spearing Mavies Feeney Pratley Clayton Madine That'll do for me. Quote
Casino Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 i think id also choose dervite and prince as we know it can work id play a fcuking right back at right back i think moxeys injured so its either casado or vela at left back spearings injured, i think and we've been told all along that danns is his favourite runner around up front, its madine or vela vela can also cover for amos Quote
L/H White Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Could Ameobi feature tomorrow? yes, he will score Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I liked Casado feisty little sod Please play a right back in that position don't care either Wilson or the Italian & at the risk of attracting the usual piss taking comments try Osede in defensive midfield allowing our best player Davies to get over the halfway line .Oh & Prince instead of Dervite or Wheater. Clayton Madine attacking combo. Quote

Gumbo Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Id play a team that causes the least disruption to players playing out of position. Pick a team that gives the best structure and most stability. That is difficult to beat and doesn't concede easily. And players that give a fuck. Quote
stevieb Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Djorkaeff and Nolan for me there. Who are these who keep playing in red though? Surely not us... Quote
