Youri McAnespie Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 (edited) I wouldn't - I'd sit in one and have one though... I'd only have one in a chain one under extreme duress, or if I was attempting to inveigle my way into the affections of a lady and didn't want to alert her (then) to my unorthodox views. Youri McAnespie Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 (edited) I keep having to make my case, I'm genuinely not mean, I just don't believe in money for old rope, and that chains are essentially giant vaccuum cleaners hoovering up our money like a greedy unfair drunken oaf on chan and directly pipelining it to yankee fucking doodle land. And breathe Edited November 17, 2016 by Youri McAnespie Quote
Sweep Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 I wouldn't - I'd sit in one and have one though... I didn't realise you were so bourgeois Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 (edited) Bourgeois = sitting in a swanky chain one drinking a £6 drink where everyone can see you fiddling with your apple. Bohemian = sitting in a non-chain one out of sight from everyone to keep warm whilst lingering over the same £1 espresso. I'm only usually using them for inveigling purposes - so fit into neither category... It's always a pint for me if I'm thirsty out and about (and alone). Andydee Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Housewives must have had sore cunts back in those days ???? They were punctual as well, always just leaving when I got home from school. Quote
Con Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Just sat in Coffee grind on Newport St, very nice, decent coffee and they gave me plenty of butter for my toasted teacake. Fair amount of folk in too. Rather be supporting a small independent like this than one of the chains, who have no interest in the town. Hope it stays like this. Ps I haven't been asked for change by pikeys of any description to now. Quote

The row is not because they've got permatans. It's because (a) it's 300k of public funds and ( b ) it was all done sneakily. If they'd given in to Mighty Whitey Solicitors, there'd have been a similar furore. Classic diversion tactic here. Edited November 26, 2016 by Traf Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Loads of police in town this morning. Two protests: one an anti-supermosque and council march the other rayguns' pro-mosque. First I'd heard about it. Quote
kent_white Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 If they'd given in to Mighty Whitey Solicitors, there'd have been a similar furore. I'm not so sure that is the case. A fair few of the anti Cliff Morris mob on FB and the BN are pretty active on the right wing front. I'm not saying what's happened is right - or that it shouldn't be looked into. And I'm not claiming that the 'smears' as Asons put it are racially motivated. But I don't think some of the furore would have been quite so vociferous from some individuals had the funds gone to somewhere a bit less ray gunny. Quote
frank_spencer Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Aye there's plenty wrong with what's happened with Asons without dragging the boss's religion and or race into it. And doing so only strengthens Asons and Cliff's support as pointing out the brain dead comments will win him support Quote

frank_spencer Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 All face covering in public should be banned. Must admit im conflicted on that one. If (and it's a big if) a woman chooses to cover her face then fair fucks to her let her get on with it. In the same way if she wants to dress in boob tube and mini skirt then she should be able to. However i'm not a fan of dealing with folk with their faces covered. Quote

If a woman wants to cover up do so at home. Quote

If a woman wants to cover up do so at home. Kind of what i was getting at. Dictating to folk what they can and can't wear doesn't sit well with me. But covering ones face doesn't sit well either. Headscarf or a wig like the Jews should be more than enough if you are that way inclined Quote
kent_white Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 I'm one of the people who think that the state shouldn't be telling people what they can and can't wear. I've got a winter coat and when I put the hood up - you can just about see my eyes and that's it. It's more of a face covering than what those two dickheads are wearing. Quote

The state wouldn't have to if folk followed the socially accepted norm. Take your point about coats but a bit of common sense comes in- if you were in a public place and needed to speak to someone you'd probably open it a little. If you're in the hills etc with a few like minded people then it wouldn't matter. Quote
