Do you really think less mosques means less extremists?

I'm more of the opinion that denying people a place to worship based on their religion as opposed to the law of the land is more likely to encourage extremism than help stop it.

Same goes for banning the veil. Sure fire way to alienate people is to make them feel like second class citizens.

If only it worked like that. That hook handed twat utilised his place to preach hate. Only need one wrong un in a big place and he's got a large audience of potential victims.

Don't get me wrong, I've been in church with complete strangers shaking your hand saying peace be with you, or folk apologising to a bloke behind a screen because they've done something bad.

All of it is anathema to me.

So you're saying maybe if they'd built another Mosque around there then people wouldn't have been forced to go to the extremist one? :-)

Oh and by the way- if you register your house as a prayer room/facility you don't pay council tax.

That's just bollocks isn't it? - one of them urban myths that only a nob would believe

You're correct. Its business rates.

Why don't you write to Bolton Council with a freedom of information request lime you're entitled to.

This bloke did it in Doncaster (in 2010 mind). He asked how many households were receiving the cut to council tax rates due to the clause you are talking about.

The answer was 0 because no such provision exists (or at least didn't in 2010).

No need. My information was incorrect. Similar requests were made to Rochdale etc. Seems its business rates.
