Naytch
Me and my brother went in Jan for the Roma v AC Milan game. There was a sign near the Collesium for an Irish bar a short walk away- Scholars Lounge. Pretty decent, loads of screens showing lots of foreign footy, NFL and a big room that became a kareoke room late at night. I've just looked it up- it was just off the Piazza Venezia on Via del Plebiscito Hope that helps Edited April 7, 2016 by Naytch

Pablo
Love the place, completely fallen in love with it. Get an offline Rome map on your phone, it is brilliant. Take some proper walking shoe's. Don't go to restaurants that have menu's in 5 languages, places with hardly a sign outside will be the most authentic scran. The wine is just unreal, and ALWAYS ask for the local, they will give you a choice of 2 or 3. Roman Forum is brilliant, you need at least half a day for this, its better than the colosseum. Fengshui
I'm going for the 4th time at the end of the month, as my girlfriend currently lives there, so much to see and do in Rome. Scholars lounge is probably the best pub for a drink and pub grub. The area around Campo fi Fiori is good for authentic food, but it's best just wandering around and trying anywhere off the beaten track. Moderators Zico Posted May 12, 2016 Moderators Share Posted May 12, 2016 when I went to Rome, literally (and I hate the misuse of that word) the first thing audible I heard in Italian was a bloke, whilst moaning to some women, saying "mamma mia" whilst woppily waving his hands in her face
