This is a very different episode.

Wasn't really feeling it - sort of stuff we'd seen a million times before but the 3rd episode shows that it was the promise to do something different.

Gave up after the first episode.

I almost did too, felt a bit formulaic/seen it all before.

But episode 3 just kicked it up several levels. Worth your time.

Taken what could have ended up being a standard show to another level.

knew it would be good when I saw it was written by the same bloke who did Chernobyl

Watched The Recruit on Netflix. Really enjoyed it. Bit daft but flew through the episodes. High praise for me considering i normally get bored shitless halfway through shows and give up 🤣

finsihed first series of the Mandolorian

enjoyed it, was hoping for something more edgy/gritty like Andor, but it was all good old Star Wars fun in the end

then watched Stratagem

Love Coogan, Partridge etc

but this was utter shite

his stand up shows back in the 90s were very good with Paul/Pauline Calf, Duncan Thickett, Bernard Righton etc

but his more recent live stuff in paritcular Partidge has been very poor

Strategem was a bit cringe, but not in a funny way. Glad I passed up a ticket for it now.

From the Oasthouse podcast is excellent. Can't be perfect every time.

aye

partidge just doesn't work live on stage

none of it seems natural, all forced, trying too hard because folk have paid money to come watch

i'd pay to watch him do his radio show in his little booth

Live the first act was really good, second act dragged a bit - the timetravel stuff was a bit odd.

Watched the first 2 episodes of “Pepsi, Where’s My Jet?”…. Only in America!! So far so good. Will do the final 2 tomorrow.

Looking forward to watching that. Looks good

Little bit underwhelmed by the finale. It was good, but seemed a bit of a lop-sided hour of telly.

Wrapping up a couple of key stories in the space of about 30 seconds right at the end, bit shabby. Needed another 15-20 mins.

Aye, sort of made the back story a waste of time

Wanted to see that chemist hauled in and panicking a bit more
