It's like HIGNFY.....once upon a time it was funny but then the wankers like me fucked off and got replaced by hipsters calling people Gammons.

The politics threads are camper than sharing a tent with Elton John.

I start reading again after Barnsley at home, best atmosphere ever at the Reebok btw.

Then I read some of the posts and it made me sad.

That Stan thread about him getting Sky Internet was the funniest thread is history but it's long gone now....

describing someone's touch to that of a rapist is abhorrent. You should think carefully what you post .

Dan would be upset as too would many on here too .

Apologies if I caused offence. It’s a commonly used term but I agree it is both graphic and tasteless.

I was thinking of suggesting Dan has the touch of an alcoholic woodpecker with Parkinson’s but I am a borderline alcoholic, I like woodpeckers and I know a sound bloke called Parkinson so it was a non-starter.

Cheers wanderlust, apologies accepted.

The internet and in particular message boards  / forums can be difficult places. Many times places of positivity with people helping each other . Words and phrases can be read out of context or misunderstood or words can unintentionally cause upset.

Going back to your original post I really like Dan , he works hard and I support anybody in a wanderers shirt who works hard .

Enjoy the 2024/25 season.

Sorry to spoil the love in but I’m sticking with my opinion about Dan. Yes he does work hard - as do brickie’s labourers - but sadly it ain’t enough to succeed as a professional player. Love him for his effort but we need players with more end product and in that context he’s keeping more talented players out of the squad and tying up a load of our money that could have been better spent elsewhere. Wish him well, but unless he makes a dramatic improvement he is of little use to us.

Another “he works hard”

I graft when playing football but I’m still shite at it, sadly we can’t move him on as a striker who doesn’t score is hard sell

Well others have tried loaning him out to improve him including here and it hasn’t worked so far so we’re stuck with him and have to hope he finally delivers on the promise IE saw in him. He’s no kid now so no more chances.

Thing is with Dan, when I watch him play, he looks desperate to do well and to impress.

I think it's in his locker but he just needs to calm down and believe in himself a bit more. I'm sure I saw him almost crying with joy once when he scored in a pizza cup game.in the early rounds when we were already 5-0 up or something.

Think that's when he fucked his knee doing a knee slide afterwards.

If there's any incident that could sum up our season....

after a penalty.

And then he had to re-take it (encroachment ?), and missed the retake iirc.

The injury to CMG is the one that sums it up for me

No fucker near him and he suddenly ends up on the turf and out for months and months
