I’m not aware that I’ve ever ‘spaffed’ over Santos but appreciate your interest.

You do sound angry at him and me though. Try not to be. It’s only a game.

To be fair every time someone speaks about him you come on here all full of itk wisdom and saying what you know from discussions with him. Always very supportive & dissing overt criticism.

It depends on the definition of 'spaffing' I guess but that definitely seems a bit spaffy.

FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Good luck to him, hope he does well. In hindsight he perhaps should have gone post Oxford but surrounded by championship players at Swansea and if he gets his edge back I think he will do a job for them.

I once went to the old Vetchfield ground but never been the newer stadium, we lost 3-0 and Leighton James scored all 3.

Never realised that The Who played there in 1976 after Charlton Athletic.

Anyway, housing in Port Talbot is cheap.

Don’t think she is arsed if there is 20k a week coming in. Salt of the earth that lass

In this case, i was simply pulling up the original poster on his own words. I wasn't defending Santos, or making any comment about him.

His words were that he didn't condone online abuse and he wasn't part of the problem, but then went onto call him a puff and a wanker.

I try to be respectful on here, but that's just someone being a bit thick, don't you think?

Was at that Charlton gig. Rained all day and fights breaking out everywhere until the great Alex Harvey put a stop to it. SAHB better than The Who on the day

Can't imagine we took many to that. We lost the home game to them 1-4 that year too as they stormed through to Division 1.

No unfortunately not, we were very thin on the ground for home games so a long trip to south Wales was asking a lot in those days.

CBA checking but i think the only away win that season was at Cambridge?? And the only other away points were a 0-0 at Blackburn and a draw at Preston and maybe Oldham???

Good luck to Santos, but he's now gone so not interested now.....we move on

Well to be fair the Swans fans don’t seem madly impressed by Rico joining but if he gets his fitness and pace back they may well be pleasantly surprised. Good luck to him anyway but if it doesn’t come off he (and his missus) may find any criticism he got here was extremely mild.

He's absolutely fine for a back up at Swansea.

I've enjoyed watching Santos play for us & his selections for the league teams show how good he has been.

It's probably the right time for him to move, he's clearly had enough here with halfwits abusing him on social media being the final straw......though I do agree that footballers are daft being on social media.

Good luck to him.

I can't imagine Santos will see himself as back up.

He strikes me as the sort of player that needs to be first choice or not at all.  For one, he isn't going to be a Jones or Forrester that sits on the bench and can cover more than one defensive position if called upon, Santos will play in the middle as a CB or nowhere.  If he's on the bench he'd have to get used to not coming on as a sub, its the strikers and attacking midfielders that get brought on, barring injury.

It will be interesting to see how it goes for him anyway, but I'd expect him to be playing more often than not.

He will be playing with better defenders too, often he literally was the last line of defence.

Mods,  is there any way of putting a block on the word Santos ?       Jesus wept

What’s his missus done?

Got abused on social media by fuckwit Bolton fans, and took umbrage.

Aye. She made the mistake of biting back and engaging. She was them set upon by a gaggle of sad cunts firing abuse.

Santos should've been able to decipher between Internet dick heads and match going away fans.

Will miss Santos, big shoes to fill. Forino not convinced me yet (though he does score more goals)

Inwood may grow into the role and Toal on his day is half good. Long way to go yet

Just 4 away wins that year, our first season back in division 2. Cambridge, Shrewsbury, Preston and Wrexham. A draw in London (Orient) which felt like a win in those days.

With Jimmy joining us on the 11th officially, it wouldn't suprise me if we wait to announce signings until then. Who knows we could already have a couple signed.

But why would we do that?

Every fuckers on holiday and the transfer window only opened on Monday.
