Erhahon has a tracK record of bookings for dissent. We saw it ourselves last season, when he was stupidly sent off at the Toughsheet.

The captain we need is someone who can manage the likes of Erhahon on the pitch.

Reckon Dempsey could manage Erhahon despite the height and reach disadvantage.

If dempsey wasn't made of straw then he would be a good bet for captain.   Sure he was captain of his last club. 

I would go forino,   like the cut of his jib,  and cant see many messing him about.

Your right, he was Gillinghams captain.

I love Dempsey one of my favourite players and want it to work for him so much.

But we need a captain who's most likely going to stay fit.

The problem in the past with Jones, Santos and then even Toal as captains is they were constantly getting injured.

Can't guarantee anything. I would personally go with Forino and then JDC as vice captain.

Forino for me. If he stays fit then I’ve got a feeling it’ll be a big year for him and likely one of the few that will be playing every week.

Be surprised if the captain is anyone who's signed this season, and will be disappointed if it was anyone from the pre Oxford era 

Can only see it being Forino though I certainly don't think there's a stand out candidate

Schuey mentioned a “leadership group” wherein several players take on the role with one selected as spokesman/representative. Personally I like this approach of having “leaders all over the pitch”.

It doesn’t really matter who is the official captain as long as the group work together to agree what needs to be done and they all take responsibility to ensure it happens.

Some teams in Europe formalise it by appointing a captain, vice captain, 3rd captain and 4th captain but I don’t think it’s necessary to go that far as long as the group’s authority is recognised.

Toal most likely captain

I like a CB or GK as captain, dunno why, it just feels right 

Another one for Toal, do not think Johnson or Firino two more good candidates will play as much as Toal

No ones mentioned Taylor another i would have no issue with
