Amy rumours over Dan and Lolos?

Need to get them gone, if just for the money.

Can’t imagine anyone would be willing to pay anything like our outlay, so to me a loan would make sense to ease the burden of wages.

Aye, but heard nothing to that effect.

Simply, if a player isn't likely to get game time, a parent club may refuse the loan in the first place.

Or, it may make other clubs a touch wary in the future.

Of course the club bringing in the player can't guarantee starts and minutes etc, but it also seems pointless bringing in such a player if you're not using him much.

If a club doesn't bother about the parent club, then you're onto a looser long term.

This happens up and down the leagues every year. As mentioned, Connor Bradley was our key player and played every game - Owen Beck and Calvin Ramsay barely kicked a ball for us. It won't stop Liverpool loaning a player to us if it suits them. There are too many players that need loans for clubs to be too fussy where they get sent.

Anyone in football (player or club) is going to look at our forwards and feel like that number 9 spot is there for the taking. There is no incumbent from previous years and the nominal starter has a patchy record and is unlikely to play in August. If Kenny, for example, can't get past Dalby/Burstow, he wouldn't be troubling Celtic's first team either.

Exactly and this could certainly be the case here if Burstow gets off to a roaring start and Hull, as is very likely, are struggling at Christmas. They may well call him back in desperation leaving us without cover if we only have two strikers. Let’s get Kenny in then we’re covered on all fronts.

Agree with that. But if it's a "season long loan" do they have an option to recall him in Jan? And do we have the option to send him back because we've found someone better in the meantime? If that's the case, it's not a season long loan.

Depends what clauses are in the loan agreement.

Thought they were now history!

There was talk that Lolos is refusing to move on hence why he is in the B team not sure how true it is

Read somewhere (can’t remember where) that neither Dan or Lolos will be registered in the L1 squad so the writing is on the wall. Even getting clubs to take on loan and contribute half their wages is something

Yep. Neither will play for the club again. All part of the 'game' now that they get frozen out to send the clear message that they need to find new clubs.

Both in strong positions in that they've done pre season fitness work (albeit probably not fully match fit), both under contract and both have plenty of games under their belt at League One / Two level. Lolos will be on the contract of his life and, much like Ahadme at Charlton, will have to rationalise cannibalising his own long term career for his current pay against taking a cut.

Teams panic later in the window so it's highly likely they'll both move on later in August I would have thought, and probably both to top end League Two. Can see a scenario with Lolos where the club have to come to an agreement with him to tear up his contract.

I have some sympathy for Nlundulu. Whilst not at the level we need, he's had unfortunate injuries at just the wrong time and, from everything i hear, is a good lad who just wants to have a career in the game. Genuinely hope he gets fixed up at a good club. Lolos plenty of talent - hope he finds a work rate to match!

Really surprised that Cambridge don’t want Dan back.

Did ok for them until his injury.

Certainly subscribe to it being a wages issue with Lolos (and Dan tbf), as he’s certainly not at our level, but going off his season with Crawley, you’d think he’d be worth chancing for someone like Northampton.

Still 5 weeks left, and we're focusing on incomings. Wouldn't worry yet.

Dont think it is just those two, they are the ones Schumacher has said find another club.

Think the team picks itself Sunday without the certain starters Taylor and Dalby being involved

Players used to playing every week are going to be benched and in some instances will not be in the 18 man squad.

Players know this and i am sure those with a bit of ambition will be working with Fergal to move away on good terms.

Yes I think that’s the most likely then let their contracts run down.

Be interesting to see who partners Simons and Erhahon in the middle on Sunday, either Sheehan, Randall or Morley in the forward role. I’d go for Morley but two of them won’t be happy and nor would McAtee although he’ll probably sub Burstow? With Warren on the mend and able to fit in out wide I’d think there must be a question mark over Desmond and Szabi too. I think there will be much more movement out yet besides Klaidi and Dan.

I think Morley's here to compete for one of the two spots in front of the defence rather than the forward midfield role

Agree. The midfielder likely to compete (when fit) for the forward slot is Dempsey. The othe four are competing for the two spots and I’d expect them all to make plenty of appearances, with substitutions.

Dempsey is getting nowhere near.

Be a big enough struggle for Morley.

Their days are numbered for me.

Think i am seeing the same as you and many more....if one of the two wingers gets injured i can see Schumacher changing formation rather than replace them with Schon or Desmond, i see no place for them the days of inverted wingbacks is no more

I'd still guess come the end of the year Morley will have played the most minutes for us in midfield.

Dempsey will be competing for the physios attention. The sooner he’s gone the better

Plenty of time for Morley, but he does not start in either of the holding two....Will be a bit of a jack of all trades this season

First replacement for the holding two and one of five vying for the ten spot

They'll be more useful in a 3, which think we'll use on occasions (maybe not from the start)

I'm not convinced we play both Simons and Erhahon in the games we expect to dominate, would be a bit redundant, need someone in there that will move the ball quicker and pass through lines with a bit more consistency.
