injured for Bristol and for a few after that then back in for last 2 matches

Sheehan will play more than people think. 4 midfielders vying for 2 spots. Injury, suspension, and horses for courses will determine who plays.

Tutu I guess was being tried out as JDC cover. Barring a break / ligament type injury, JDC is as reliable as they come.

I expect either Schon or CMG will leave towards end of window. If Tutu can cover right back, I doubt he’ll go anywhere. Lad clearly has bundles of talent. Unfortunately, like some of the other latter day Evatt signings, he doesn’t work hard enough.

I was amazed when Baxter did an interview part way through last season admitting to being overweight. McAtee has now admitted he’s 7kg lighter (this season (no idea what that is in old money)

I don’t know if SS will be a success, but he won’t accept shirkers

He's also played a decent chunk of preseason, I think there's definitely a role there for him if he can produce.

Ooh this thread has got 'hot topic' on. Has the Celtic lad signed?  That's another few minutes I won't get back.  I realise I'm adding to the problem with this post.

What's your favourite type of crisp?

Pretty much my take on it.

I think Sheehan will feature most games but no longer guaranteed starter as we can rotate 4 very good centre mids for this level. Only issue will be whether not being a guaranteed starter suits his ambitions.

It's 1st, 1 lb.

How can a professional footballer, training every day, being monitored by a team of staff be 10% overweight ?

Same goes for Baxter & any other in that situation.

Just shows what a slack ship 'he who shall not be named' had going.

Squad numbers announced, largely irrelevant but Forino as #3 hurts my soul.

I also notice 24, Johnny Kenny's number, is available.

No 12 or 24 yet.  I was hoping there would be no Vic or Mendes Gomez . Abimbola and Lawrence to go out on loan do we think?

Tbf to Mcatee, I think it was 7lb that he lost, not 7kg.

Still not great though.

Ah fair enough. Happy to be corrected. As you say though, still not great.

I'd have given McAtee the benefit of the doubt that he's put a bit on considering he knew he would be playing in a Front 2, but the way it's been talked about since and the stuff I've heard about him off the field, it's more likely it was lax coaching and a few too many scoops in Manchester.

Mark Hughes has said similar in interview with Iles today, the hard work, as a collective, is non negotiable.

McAtee's 7lbs amounts to half a stone, a fair amount. He did look fitter for it and got about more last Saturday

Very good move for the lad that, very surprised, thought he'd be heading back to League 2.

Fair play to him. Never got into a rhythm with us, not helped by that early injury. Hopefully he can recapture something ... just not to our disadvantage.

Things moving fast, one already off the list from earlier this morning. SS and team showing some real clarity and speed in their plans and actions.

Effectively given Peterborough £1 million and Lolos in return for Randall. Time will tell who wins

Reminds me of the time Blackburn spent £7.5 million and James Beattie for Kevin Davies. Davies was a disaster for them whilst Beattie went on to become a club legend. They then sent him back to Southampton along with an ‘undisclosed’ fee in return for Egil Ostenstad, another relative failure. Man, they wasted some cash back then.

I have no idea what Lolos was supposed to be.  A winger?  A "number 10" ?

He'll be one of those players where you'll hear his name mentioned in a few years and folk will say they don't ever remember him playing for us.  Like Andre Moritz.

Anyway, looks like we got some money for him which is a bonus given most would've gladly seen him leave on a free.

Another bites the dust.

£1 million and Lolos in return for Randall is a better deal for us than £1 million in return for Randall

He'll score in December against Gillingham in the league cup and you'll see our mongos saying we should've kept him.
