Not for me at this level, in a formation where we play actual wingers then definitely but he's not got the defensive capability to play at wingback in this league. We'd get torn apart, especially if it's him and Dervite on that side.

Therein lies the problem, he was a regular on the treatment table.

The lads a perma crock, that's his problem. Hopefully he can get past all the injuries and have a career.

Only spearing remaining out of contract. He's expensive and not irreplaceable for the same money, I think. Then, we need to find pace at the back and up front, and creativity in midfield. Tough ask. In PP and the board we trust!

Shame about Max Clayton. Looked really promising before he got that freak injury. Someone landed awkwardly on his hamstring iirc.

Unfortunately for our club, still under an embargo, pretty much no money.

We can't really afford or realistically keep players who are injury prone most of the time.

On the other hand, I think we need younger players in the squad for the long term.

I reckon the lad needs a good run of games to develop properly. Hopefully he'll get that at Blackpool - and maybe we could nIck him back for nowt at the end of his contract as a far better player if he is another Joey O'Brien.

 

If it opens up a space though for a non permanently injured championship proven player, then it's a good move
