To be fair, anyone in the production sector who saw China buying up all the raw materials and becoming a major supplier for just about the whole world also saw that it'd be too easy for China to shut shop and hold the world to ransom.

Sort of the point I made previously. Might make a few think about not putting all their eggs in one basket from now on.

Whenever we need to buy something, if possible I'm checking to see where it's made now.

Why would they do that? What ransom would they want?

Its potentially a nice idea, but it'll never happen. We've actually seen orders increase massively the past two weeks.....we can't deliver yet, and fuck knows when we can, but we've got customers trying to double up our stretch their schedules out towards 2025.

As for checking where things are made, that again is a nice idea, and I love the thought of "buying British" or European, its not that easy though, even stuff that is "made" here can have an element of China sourced product in it. We enjoy kidding ourselves that some stuff is made here, in reality, final assembly is here, but a large portion of the raw components come from outside of the EU.

Aye, tell me about it!

Bloody difficult- need a new sieve, refused to get the first one I saw- £15 for some cheap Chinese thing. Someone's on the Rob there somewhere.

Under no illusions, but at least we try to find stuff from elsewhere.

We're all worse off. That's what we voted for. And Blue Passports that we could have had anyway.

Are you worse off?

Someone giving a talk about how racism, integration and segregation can't be measured by numbers makes a joke to reference that very point and that joke is then dug up by racists to try and pretend she's a racist.

Britain and social media in 2020. Race to the sewer - who can get there first?

It wasn't a joke. She never said "" afterwards.

Remember that program with Tusk being overruled on similar situation?

A real shit storm over there, some sympathy for the Turks and plenty for the Greeks. Makes me laugh when holier than thou do gooders pap on about it being essential Greece respects international rules over migrants.

Easy to take a pop at the little guy and avoid the real issue.

Thankfully Brexiteers saved us from having to chuck in billions. Not a peep from remainers I see.

If we'd not left, then surely our businesses could have been helped by such a scheme?

Far less support than our businesses have been given as far as I’m aware and if we had stayed in we wouldn’t have been able to do what we’ve done.

but it will go unnoticed no doubt

I'll take your word for it, I don't really care either way any more.

Exactly mate, plus didn't the EU impose a fine on the Italians for something related recently ?
