Moderators Casino Posted January 9, 2019 Author Moderators Share Posted January 9, 2019 Used to sit with mum and dad, half way line, right at the back of the burden stand Good view of walshies shot and it's trajectory I'd say that ball was a good yard wide before Mr pony tail got involved I'm pretty sure marsh and best didn't turn out that night? What year was it? 75? I’d have been about 11 or 12. Remember the teams walking off and utter confusion. Or was it just Fulham? For the life of me I can’t remember the story behind it but remember it kicking off big style on the pitch and Moore being sent off
Moderators Casino Posted January 9, 2019 Author Moderators Share Posted January 9, 2019 Our equaliser, 2 2 went in at about half ten. Should been full time at ten past
Nobster
Fulham signed a lot of big names and thought they were the big boys, sadly not one of Bobby Moore’s finest hours.

gregbwfc
The handbag thing was definitely the league match. Think fsa scored a last minute winner?

To clarify the situation and with a bit of help from my Rothmans Best Marsh and Moore all played in the League game at Burnden - in fact Best scored for them Only Bobby Moore appeared in the League cup replay at Burnden which went to extra time All 3 played in the League game and in the Original League Cup tie at Craven Cottage And all 3 played in the League cup second replay at Birmingham - which I always remember as being a hostile atmosphere given the number of Birmingham fans that turned up on the night

Members bolty58
Yep, the twats dropped kicked my old man in the back then apologised as they were "looking for cockneys". About half a dozen Fulham fans were just entering a pub across the street so I got the old man out of the way sharpish like whilst the Zulu's went charging over the street. Later that year I did meet Andy & he told me he didnt apply himself enough & was a bit slack when it came to training which he knew would never cut it with Ian Greaves. He did play on professionally mainly with York City where he played at centreback which surprised me somewhat given his skillset....he also played along side Neil Warnock whom he described as an 'animal'. Take Hunt Off
His one game for the first team was against Burnley away which was a 1-0 victory , he thought he had done well (playing rb) but Greaves dropped him next game & that was that ! Great manager for us but players like Waldren & Smith used to have to play out of their skins to stay in the team.Cant say he got it wrong though !
