my folks (75-79) had first jab in Jan, been booked in for 2nd on Apr 8th

so how does it work from here on in

everyone who had jab 1 still aiming for jab 2 three months later, and then cracking on in tandem with under 50s from May, aiming to have us done by August?

nice one

watching BJ yesterday, he spoke about finishing off 50s + vunerables in April, starting on the rest of us in May to be done by August

with the talk of shortages and delays, didn't think they'd have scope to do anything in tandem, but August to start the 2nd round of jabs seemed ridiculous

so all done by end of August for those who want it

marvellous

They were talking about hopefully moving on to 16/17 year olds in August as well this morning on GMTV

98 deaths in U.K.  over 200 in Germany, they’re open for Easter were locked down, they can travel abroad, it’s illegal for us, we’ve 50% vaccinated they’ve less than 20%. WTF is going on here in the U.K.

Better to lift restrictions later than necessary rather than too early.

of the 2 countries, which one would you put a pound on being most likely to be locked down again in the near future?

We’re not far off. Your beloved Tories are doing the right thing and being ultra cautious. You’ve got the patience of a toddler.

If the Tories stick to the timeline it’s end of June when we are back to normal, that’s nearly 3 months. That if they don’t let the dates slip, which I think is very likely.

Viruses tend not to stick to deadlines.

The issue is no longer the UK for you, it’s your need to get to your place in Spain. This is clouding your broader view as it’s all you’re arsed about. Which is fair enough, but you need to accept that your opinion may land in the minority and just deal with it cocker.

Nothing to do with going Spain, I’m not due to go until mid July. The issue is businesses, mental health, economy, folk are suffering, Covid is under control here, there is no reason not to open up the U.K. economy, international travel can wait but the economy needs reopening sooner rather than later. Lockdown was to protect the NHS, nothing more nothing less.

Would you be happy to stay under restrictions until September, and travel to Spain.

or, lift everything here but no foreign travel until October?

Mounts, you need to give your head a wobble. How many fucking lockdowns do we need to get the point across?

We are doing great with the vaccine but the rest of the world bar Israel and the US are way behind. Mutations are major risk to everything we have been pinning our hopes on out of this shitstorm.

You need to read what I said, no issue with no international travel for now.

What if international travel is postponed until autumn?

It would be a bad decision. Stop travel to red countries, open travel to countries with low levels of virus (as per original time line 17th May)but PCR test on arrival, this ain’t ever going away, just like flu isn’t, both diseases we have a vaccine, both need treating the same.
