One of the girls mums from work got 999 to fairfield today. She works on a covid 19 ward there and couldnt breathe. Mid 50s, fit as a fiddle.

Found out today that at Fairfield if your over 50 and swab as positive they are asking you to agree to a DNAR. Under lying conditions or not.

WTF would agree to that? And what’s the rationale behind it?

Don't know all the details but been told from reliable sources it's happening.

Just had a look on Twitter, looks like it’s over 75s not over 50. Still shit though and I’d not sign it if I was over 75.

What happens if you won’t sign it?

Honestly I haven't a clue. A lot goes on that isn't public knowledge. It would just cause mass panic. More than what is already happening.

Because we don’t have enough ventilators and ICU capacity. We are now like Italy was.

My mam got taken to Fairfield by ambulance wen she collapsed other week. Spent most of the day in a corridor and considering she was taken in at 10am she got put on a ward at 9pm so I’m assuming in their case it’s simply capacity and maybe every hospital will have different parameters? Does seem extreme though 50 is scarily low.

I'll tell you what definitely is happening. Bolton is training loads of staff to certify deaths, and the tests are being shortened from 2 minutes to 1 minute.

We're also accepting photocopied DNACPR forms.

Hospital in Wolverhampton has anyone over 60 on DNAR, just checked with a mate down there who had a relative in with it (recovered).

It’s news to me but I suppose that’s the way it has to be.

Oh just fuck off you cunt.

You don’t start sending out guidance about DNAR for a laugh. The shit has hit the fan. You just have to admit you got this wrong.
